I just started P3 and today I suddenly realized that I've had no arthritis pain in weeks and no medication. I usually hurt somewhere all the time. Just wondering if it is caused by some food that I haven't been eating in P2. Guess I better add foods in P3 REALLY slowly, keep a journal and see if the pain comes back.

It's caused by gluten. People with arthritis have a gluten sensitivity they don't know about. Just cutting the majority of it out helps. If you're eating the melba, cut it out and don't eat it this whole round. Then you'll clearly see the connection. Often people who can't eat gluten have a problem with dairy as well. Not all but many.

    Thanks Colleen,
I do believe that and won't have any gluten. I've been suffering with some form of arthritis/osteoarthritis for 30 years. It started right after my last pregnancy. I only lost 15.4 lbs on P1 so I don't think that small amount would make this much difference.

I reread Dr. S's P&I and here is what he says:
All rheumatic pains, even those associated with demonstrable bony lesions, improve subjectively within a few days of treatment, and often require neither cortisone nor salicylates. Again this is a well known phenomenon in pregnancy, and while under treatment with HCG + diet the effect is no less dramatic.

He says it will probably return but not as bad. But I will stay gluten free as long as I cna stand it. :)

You can stand it forever! There are great alternatives out there. :-)

Grammy is right... I'm having so much fun creating recipes that are gluten free! I know there are a lot of pre-packaged gluten free items, but I'm also trying to stay "un-processed" (if that's possible!) I'm learning to use almond flour, coconut flour and things like xanthan gum that I didn't even know existed!!! I have felt better since starting Hcg in March than I have in 15 years! AND, to my doctor's surprise my kidney function IMPROVED!!! How's that for proof of success! It seems my body is coming back to life now that I have been off gluten and such for so long. I still have bad days but I'm now having more good days!

Colleen, what chocolate chips do you use? I've been wanting to make some, but I'm wondering if a cacao chip would be best.

I only did them in P4. I used the regular ones in the yellow bag. I'm braindead at the moment on the brand name. LOL

haha... Nestle! I know that yellow bag. Technically I'm out of P4, if there's such a thing. I'm dying to start loading again! Hopefully this coming weekend.
