    Hi all.

    Just found these forums, and have been soaking in all the knowledge!!

    I am in phase 3, although technically I should have moved to phase 4 weeks ago. I haven't because I'm terrified and I don't know what to add.

    Also, my weight is suddenly very unstable. I thought I had stabilized very well, then suddenly this week I'm gaining almost 2+ pound everyday---with no real change in my eating at all. I've done 3 steak days this last week, and I feel like I'm at my emotional breaking point! It's very, very frustrating.

    So, my question is this.

    1) Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong to have "unstabilized" this far into P3?? Am I damaging myself by not moving onto P4? Anything I can do to fix it?

    2) If and when I move to P4, how does my eating change? Do I still eat the way I am now, just adding in occasional whole grains? Or do I need to stop eating as much cheese, full-fat dressing, cottage cheese and mayo, etc. I'm a bit confused at how p3 and p4 collide. I understand the gradual addition of whole grains, root veggies, etc. I just don't understand if I am supposed to shift the OTHER things I am eating.

    very strange to gain that much per day if you're not changing what you're eating. close to TOM??

    use the search bar at the top of the page and put in "newcomer information"- i've written a bunch of threads there that should help you, and there is one on P4. :)

    Thank you for the "newcomer" search---I didn't know about that! Tons of great info there.


    I am not near my TOM which is why these gains are freaking me out a bit!! I'm really struggling this week and don't know what to do now!

    Have you changed the amounts you're eating? Getting enough protein?

    I haven't really changed much of anything, as far as I can tell. I'm still eating plenty of fruits and veggies, and tons of protein! I'm beginning to wonder if maybe I will just stabalize higher than I thought. It was a struggle to stabalize at ALL in the beginning of P3, so I'm wondering if I am going to end up higher than I thought or wanted. I don't know! But I do know that my body is telling me something, I just haven't figured out what it is.

    With so much uncertainty with P3 now, I'm even more skeptical to start adding in any starches whatsoever!!

    might want to do a check of how many calories you're eating and your bmr (there's a thread for that, too).
