So I stop in GNC today at the mall to buy some more Jay Robb protein mix and the guy behind the counter is trying to be all Mr. Personality and everything and as I'm walking out, I ask him if they sell HCG and how much it is, as I had heard on this forum that GNC now sells it. His response "Yeah, we do but we're sold out and I don't know what it sells for, but something high like $80 or $90. I can't believe how fast it sells!" Then, genius that he is, proceeds to tell me "that stuff is bad for you. You are restricted to like 1000 calories a day and it's just crazy". I'm thinking are you serious!?!?!? Then I, and my big mouth, step a bit closer and annouce that I just lost 27 lbs using hcg and how wonderful it is and proceeded to correct him on his "facts" as to the diet and such (the 500 cals, ect) because he asked me what I ate on it, as he's asking me repeatedly if I only ate lettuce. His response was then "I'm just the weekend guy". I'm thinking no wonder some people have no idea how to use hhcg because idiots like him are selling it!

Ok, I feel a bit better. Many of us are doing HCG on our own, meaning, we aren't working in conjuction with a doctor or clinic and THANK GOODNESS for this forum or I wouldn't know half the FACTS that I do know! I know many, many people do their research on their own which I always think is good, but for those people that may have only a slight notion of what's involved, and go to a place like GNC and buy it from "the weekend guy" who knows absolutely nothing, well, I just shake my head because I know they are probably getting misinformation.

I do NOT intend to offend anyone except "the weekend guy" at this particular GNC. The GNC near my apartment usually has staff that knows what they are talking about and I appreciate that. My intention is to NOT offend anyone on this forum either, so I hope I did not. Just had to vent a little and it concerns me because hcg is not something to be taken lightly and I hate to think of people who might be listening to this guy and his infinate wisdom about hcg.

    thank you,
    (leaving the soapbox)
    Danielle

I hear you, I worry about friends that are on it because of other friends etc. Some of them are totally off! I politely tell them what's on protocol etc. I guess it's like anthing else in the world.
