I just keep eating the same things over and over and over. I'm getting sooo sick of it. I don't really like too many things on the approved list so I just eat chicken, a little bit of the types of fish like halibut(but most are so expensive), shrimp, and the lean ground beef. I use the same spices and just rotate them and for the veggies I just rotate the cucumber, romaine lettuce, tomatoes and asparagus..i don't think I like any of the others. I'll combine tomatoes and onions some times. Why can't we have carrots or broccoli?

Ive never been much of a cook and don't know about recipes, nor do I even have enough stuff to cook up these crazy recipes so does anyone have any advice for yummi things? Anything I can switch up? Or simple recipes that wont cost me a fortune to buy all the ingredients for?? I'm thinking about getting some cottage cheese in place of a protein. Plus I was going to get some of that protein powder people are talking about but I heard it makes some people gain so I'm not sure about that either.

Yeah, it gets boring. But being fat is the most boring thing I can think of and it lasts until I make something happen. I tried many, many ways to lose weight and my body just held onto the fat and wasn't giving it up--UNTIL I found HCG. Oh yes, I get bored, but I do 28 day rounds and I just tough it out. I lose slowly to boot, but I'll take the 12-pounds-in-a-month loss any day.

You don't say what day of VLCD that you are on, but don't give up. Just change your mind set. Tell yourself you can handle however many days you have decided on and then you hang on and make it happen.

    Good luck to you!

I have found that I love making soup on this diet. My favorites are hamburger tomato and chicken celery. I fry up the meat and let it brown with garlic powder and Mrs dash and then use some very low calorie broth. I have found some chicken broth that has only 5 calories which i use for the chicken soup, and vegi broth that is 0 calories that i use for the hamburger soup. I use one cup of broth and one cup of water, then add various spices. I like garlic, basil, oregano, parsley etc. I find it very satisfying!

Im on day 12, but I'm sure I'm getting discouraged because I only lost weight the first 4 days...its been since then (pretty sure because of my TOM and pms week) that I've lost anything. Hopefully after tomorrow it'll be back to normal. If I could just have some sort of variety of meals I'd be a lot better off. I just dont really cook, so I don't know what to do with any of this

Oh the chili sounds easy enough...i have everything except the chili powder and chicken broth. Is any kind of broth ok? Are we allowed to eat things with salt in them? I was trying to find some sort of crushed up tomoatoes in a jar and eat them on a melba toast but most have salt, and maybe some sugars..
    so I didnt get them

You really need to read the label when it comes to broth. They are not all created equal. You really need to watch out for the fat and calories. Some salt is ok, if you look for organic they are ussually not bad for sodium. It took some looking for me to find the ones i did. I found them in the organic isle at my grocery store.
