I am going to start round 2 this coming weekend. I'll be loading on Saturday and Sunday (not really looking forward to that), doing a long round of sublingual Rx at the higher dose that has been discussed elsewhere on the board. What advice do you have for someone doing a second round? Do you have any advice about motivation or loading? I was reading some old threads (thanks, Search tab!), but wanted to see if there are any more bits of good advice floating out there from folks who have since started or finished a second round.
I just loaded this weekend and I am doing the higher sublingual dosage too. I strived to load with more "healthy" fats, if there really is such a thing, LOL. I ate lots of eggs, cheese, bacon, sausage, cheesecake, yogurt, guacamole, sour cream, cashews, sirlion burger, no bun, with swiss, bacon and grilled onions. I did have some chocolate cake on Saturday but other than the cheesecake I stayed away from any high sugar/fat items like ice cream. I have to say so far today, my first vlcd, I feel much better than I have on my other 2 rounds. I do have light-headedness more but I don't have the hunger so I think that combination load-up helped a lot this time. Diane
Thanks, diane. I'll have to touch base with you again to see how you're doing on the higher dose as well :) I did my best ot load with as much fat and protein as possible on R1, but I am really not looking forward to that overfull feeling again. Bleh.
Larisse, I've been wondering how this time it will be different. I know the losses are out of my hands and I'm cool with that, but I'm mostly concerned with how to best keep my head straight in round 2. I'm very eager and motivated to lose the weight for my big vacation at the end of the year, but one thing is wanting it and the other is doing it. The only things I am counting on to keep me on the straight an narrow is knowing that the repercussions for cheating are HUGE on this, and the fact that I don't mind the repetition of food. I'm like a dog with kibble in that respect! LOL!
Even though I am 2 weeks away, I am a little concerned because I am not looking forward to going back to P2 yet. I'm trying to get "my head in the game." I think I will do fine and I am glad that I am going into this P2 with some more knowledge and experience. I have heard that people often lose less on subsequesnt rounds and I am trying to keep an open mind. I have at least 4 more rounds to go, so I still feel like I am at the beginning.
Gonna give this baby a bump in case it got lost in the shuffle. You know, I think I'll go start a round two support thread for anyone who feels the need to hold hands :)
That would be great Hachi! I'm starting round two next weekend (July 23rd will be my first load day) and while I'm not looking forward to the load days, I'm psyched to get back to P2, eat lean and clean and watch the scale go down! :) Good luck to you, and the others starting R2. I'm sure I'll need to hold someones hand at some point during it.
- Load with good fats! Your body is so much more sensitive to carbs/sugar than it was when you started that you will gain a lot more during loading if you eat them on round 2. I gained less than a pound loading my first round and then gained SIX pounds loading my second round and I can tell you I ate a lot more on round 1. If I had it to do all over again, I would NOT have carbs while loading. I don't plan on having them while loading for round 3.
- Don't get cocky. My first P3 was flawless... no steak days, no real issues, no bad responses to any food. So I thought this P3 would be the same. And then I cheated a little, because "well I did so awesome the first P3, I can live a little the next P3" WRONG! I am having a hell of a P3 and sitting at 4.8 lbs over LDW and am currently doing my second steak day in a week.
Basically, don't get too comfortable and play by the rules and you will be fine! :) Learn from my mistakes. Still down 45 lbs, so I have to keep that in mind.....
I started R2P2D1 today. Loaded over the weekend and stuck with high fat foods and limited sugars and only gained 4 lbs compared to 8 lbs last round. I am a bit sunburned from Aquapalooza event so hope some weight will fall off quickly once inflammation resolves. I am doing the 23 day round with HHCG. I am still trying to figure out the best number of drops to take for ideal weight loss. I have hypothyroid issues so weight comes off slowly but I am so glad it comes off. first round i lost 21 lbs in 36 days so i was happy. I am hoping for at least 15 this round. I keep myself motivated by repeating to myself. Nothing tastes as good as Skinny feels when I get the urge to have something I shouldn't. It worked well last time and I didn't cheat at all and was able to stabilize without any trouble. I hope to be just as luck this time. Good Luck to everyone! This group has been such an inspiration.
