Unsweetened almond Breeze or SoyDelicious unsweetened coco-nut milk in cartons is better than soy. Only one carb per cup.
I make my own hot cereal by pulvertizing miracle/shirataki noodles into a paste in the blender, then add to a saucepan and whisk in some xanthan gum, ground flax and/or and chia seeds, chocolate almond milk, unsweetened dark chocolate powder, and stevia. Topped with Greek yogurt or cream, tastes like mock cream of wheat.
I've also made a homemade granola-type cereal by crumbling some plan flaxseed crackers I found at a health food store with sliced almonds, TVP crumbles (yes, it's soy but I have only very rarely) and these whey protein crisps I found online (you could omit those). Add cinnamon and stevia to taste and served with almond milk.
