Hi everyone I am new to the hcg diet and new to this forum. I am on R1D30vlcd. I am 5'6" and down to 153.2lbs. My starting weight was 172lbs. I keep hearing of people losing 30 lbs in a 30 day cycle. That isn't my case. I am following the protocol and have been fluctuating up and down for the last 5 lbs. I have even had an apple day. My goal weight is 140lbs. I don't think I am going to get there from one round. I am bored with the food and looking forward to P3. Should I take a break and do P3 for 14 days and then do one load day. Then start the vlcd with drops for a round 2? I think this is called cycling? Or should I see where the 40 days takes me? Super frustrated and just want to see daily progress NOT fluctuating weight. What should I do?

19 lbs in 30 days is great! The average weight loss for this diet is .5lb per day. From what I've heard you shouldnt try cycling until you've completed a full round with both P3 and P4. Otherwise you may have trouble stablizing.

You're just in a stall, not immune. Your body is losing fat as it regains water lost in the early weeks. All that weight you lost wasn't fat, some of it was water. Now it's changing to fat loss. :-)

    I went over a year.
Took a total of around 122 days off of 407 days.
    Never hit immunity.

Is that common to fluctuate like I have been? I am thankful for my lost weight...believe me. I just get soooooo discouraged when I don't see any progress when I have been so faithful. I look forward to weighing myself in the morning to see if I lost. That is what keeps me going. I know I have come this far and I am not a quitter. I just hate seeing the scale go up. :( Thank you for your feedback grammy1952 and bpmac...it is truly appreciated. :)

Oh yes! I've had 7-10 day stalls in every one of my rounds. :-(
