Thank you grammy for the words of encouragement. I have also had trouble getting 500 calories. If I eat only 3.5 oz of protein twice a day, I rarely hit 500 calories. I have started eating a little more meat, but I don't know if I should be doing that. Am I missing something?
It is possible to drink too much. So for baseline, average temperature day, no exercise, etc. Drink half your weight in ounces of water or non caffienated teas. If you are drinking anything caffeinated, you should drink double the amount back in water again. (say you drink 3 cups of black tea, you should drink 6 cups of water to make up for the loss). Herbal teas do not count in this as they are not caffienated.
Of course, if you are sweating and working in the sun, you will need more water, to replace what you are using up.
I have found that apple days don't do much for me either, and I can't usually stomach that many apples! I have also noticed that uping my protein has helped weight loss before.
