Hello everyone!!! I need help...I went to a local clinic (that ripped me off $700) & started the HCG program. I was thrilled to get started. I did the injections with a skip day every week & skip during TOM Here are my results:
Preload: 195.5 lbs Postload: ??? (they told me not to weigh myself at home) VLCD43: 165 lbs (awesome...great)
Here is where I think they messed me up & I need advice...They had me continue inj. & vlcd & I did for another 10 days with no gains or losses, they had me go to P3 while still on inj for 14 days & had me reload again Fri. & Sat. (gained like 7 lbs) so today is R2P2D1...am I doomed???!!!
I had never heard of HCG & just followed the "Dr's" (which I never actually saw) instructions. I found this wonderful forum & am REALLY hoping someone has some helpful tips for me!
So how long have you been on injections? If possible I'd continue with injections and VLCD until you've lost those 7 pounds again. Then stop injections do VLCD for 3 day (72 hours) and move into P3 for 21 days and then P4. However, this depends on how long you've been on injections.
Thanks for the reply, I did 38 injection days & was off for 14 days (they never had me stop for the 72 hrs just straight from inj to P3 eating) & now today is day 3 of injections (2 load days + VLCD1)
J Beanie: I gained them from loading!!! Grrr...the 14 days on P3 I would go up 1 lb then back down & stayed there for the 14 days.
grammy1952: Thanks for the info...I wish I had found you guys 2 weeks ago!!! Now I've lost 2 weeks & gained 7 lbs...& they wanted me to continue on for another 40 days!!! I don't mind P2 & I did lose very well, but I don't want it to come back!
Jax... hang in there. I don't think you'll have an issue keeping it off. I think your bigger issue right now is running into immunity. At least you've been doing skip days. Are you hungry at all? Have you read Dr. S's Pounds and Inches? (There's a link on the left side bar.) There's a section about immunity that you should read so you know what to watch out for.
Once you do stop injections and go to P3 just be really diligent about no sugar/no starch.
Thanks for the words of encouragement Robbi...I was ready to cry :'( Luckily I don't think I have immunity only because 1. I have only had hunger issues the first few days I started originally, but I was only on 15 units which by what I have read here is on the low end. 2. I didn't know what the heck P&I was so I had never read it & added all the allowed foods pretty much all at once on P3 with no gains. 3. The only thing that the clinic did get right was to over emphasize the 1 protein & 1 veggie & I never cheated & when it was TOM they had me stop the injections so that was like a week at a time without it! I'm wondering if my body thinks I've been cycling??? (I have only read a little about it, but I had TOM twice while on this...I was on VLCD for a total of 54 days!!!)

BTW...I never did any sugar or starch!! I pretty much ate the same things as P2, just mixed veggies for salad with salad dressing (no sugar) & eggs with cheese, half & half with coffee...nothing drastic just all at once!!!
You're next P3 and P4 will be really important to ensure that you don't regain. I'm glad that you haven't had any hunger issues!!! At least you're losing the right kind of fats...
