I took my last drops last night at 7:30 pm. No loss this morning. My official LDW is 144.4. If I lose some weight in the next 48 hours, is that ok? That weight loss would just be just icing on the cake, correct? Would I need to do something if I gained?

Its' okay to lose some but don't be too attached to the losses. You will likely regain the pounds when you hit P3. :-(

So that weight is just a little cushion? And as long as in P3 I don't go more than 2 lbs over my LDW I am ok, correct?

    Yes that's right.

Thanks. I'm NERVOUS! I feel like I'm finally almost at the top of a rollercoaster, and I'm about to suddenly start the crazy ride! Hang on tight I guess. P3 is about to begin!

    Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! lol

MissLori, you will be fine. As I said, I lived paranoid during P3, but it truly does work. Just remember---------
NO CHEATING, NOT ONCE, with sugar or starches. I am rogue in P2, but did not cheat at all in P3, and stabilized with no effort and a LOT of food! I can't wait to get to P3 again! :]

vegglover -- so help me understand what you consider a "cheat". If I have bacon or salad dressing with less than 2 g of sugar is that a cheat? If there is rice flour or similar starch in my vitamins, is that a cheat? A glass of Chardonnay? I won't go out and have a baked potato (though god knows I am still dying for one!), but am wondering more about what I would consider trace amounts (less than 2 g) of added sugar or starches.

Good question. I had forgotten about it, but I did eat ranch dressing that had 1 g of sugar. It did not bother me, but some have posted that it caused them stalls or gains (or they suspected/wondered if it did). I truly had forgotten about the ranch. Other than that, I did not eat grains of any kind. I haven't been brave enough to drink wine, but many have and are good with it. I re-read my post and it sounds a little high-and-mighty, doesn't it? lol. I didn't mean it that way. :]

My personal rule was no sugar, no starch that I was aware of, no grains of any kind because I did not know how I would react to them. No nutbutters. That rule of "no sugar, no starches" is pretty vague if you are used to using alternative flours and other products. I don't use them, so it did not occur to me that maybe almond flour or some such product would be ok.

Everyone is so different, and if you follow the other "rule" or suggestion of only adding one new food per day, hopefully you will be able to track anything that causes a blip in your screen. :]

I literally ate all meats, cheeses, sour cream, eggs, real butter, olive oil, and non-starchy veggies during P3. I did not use any type of flour or nut butter or anything fun or exotic. I am so in love with meat, cheese and veggies that I didn't need anything else. That might not work for someone else, but it works for me since there is an endless variety of those 3 things.

I ate a big mixed salad with cheddar and ranch every single day of P3. Ate large servings of multi-colored veggies with every meal. I did not have any BM troubles, probably because of all of this fiber.

When I have completed my final P4 someday, I plan to eat the way I did in P3, so this was a good test for me. I think I will be able to maintain my weight loss this way, with an occasional treat along the way.

Oh, one more thing. There are several brands of bacon that are sugar-free. I like the market pantry brand from target, but all of the major stores stock them, so yeah...bacon and I were BFF's! :]

Yes flour of any kind is a cheat. Read ingredients don't look at grams of sugar. If it has sugar or starch in it, don't eat it. Fruit, dairy has natural sugars in it and if you look at the nutritional info you will think you can't have it but you can. It's the ingredient list that matters. Wine is okay in P3.

Grammy -- so all those recipes with coconut and almond flour are cheating in P3? Damn.

Also -- are there keywords I should look for in the ingredients label that might be hidden starches? I know they are tricky with the sugars so I'm assuming starches are the same way.
