Increase on the protein, and not so much fruits...YES...add things slowly...you will do much better. :) AND write a journal of what you eat! It really helps. Good luck!
1. Make sure to drink your water. 2. Take digestive enzymes to help digest the protien. 3. If needed take something for constipation.(My lemon tea did the trick for me.) 4. Weigh everyday. 5. Add slowly and maybe one thing at a time so you know how it effects you. 6. Eat when you are hungry; listen to your body. 7. Don't stress, enjoy your food. 8. Stay away from added carbs and sugars. 9. Read every label and know what the hidden words are for sugar or carbs. (example: cane syrup for sugar; carb. rice flour) 10. Don't cheat if you can help it.
I'd would like to second everything La.girl mentioned, very good tips!
*Do not get caught up in calories, eat when you are hungry. Eatting too little can cause problems, just as over eatting can too. *Go easy on or even avoid the sugary and starchy fruits and veggies. *P3 isn't exactly like Atkins, try to go easy on the fats and oils. You can have them just don't go crazy. *Stay hydrated.
*****MAKE SURE TO CORRECT A GAIN WITH A STEAK DAY OR PROTEIN DAY IMMEDIATELY!!!! I see posts all the time that people let the gain get too high and then its harder to fix. When you are over that 2 pounds beyond LIW or LDW, do something about it! Check your food log too.
Does anyone have any tips for the second half of P3? I've seen everyone say "Add sugars and starches VERY slowly" but I'm curious as to what constitutes a "slow" ammount and what foods to try? My girlfriend begins her 2nd 3 weeks tomorrow and is nervous to start adding. What types of foods should she begin eating again, and in what quantities? Thanks for the help :D
In P4, the first things I add are the starchy veggies: potatoes, peas, corn. Then I add oatmeal. then rice. I never add wheat because I have celiac's but add that last.
