hey guys just wanna hear a lil feedback... im a flight attendant and when i go on trips im just away for 2 days... ive been taking my scale with me on my trips but it gets quite embarrassing when TSA makes me pull out my scale from my luggage to rescan it... then the whole crew asks why i bring a scale and i dont feel like explaining the situation... lol.. if i dont take my scale i can weigh in the morning of my flight... then get back the next day late at night...id only be missing 1 weigh in day... i could technically weigh in when i get home from my trip but with all the water i drink im sure the scale wont be kind... lol... thoughts???

If you're on P2, it's not necessary to weigh every day.

P3 is when you have to watch the scale, because steak days only work on the day you gain the weight. But if you're extremely stable, and eat familiar foods that you're sure won't cause you to gain, it would be ok to skip a day here and there.

I'm on P2 and I've decided to not weigh every day. It goes against everything I've learned in the past, and I don't want a .1 increase (for example) to ruin my day. As long as you know you aren't cheating, I don't see the point in a daily weigh-in.

The only time you need to be really focused on the scale is P3/P4. With that said, since you're a flight attendant I'm sure you have that added travel weight (water retention) from flying - I'm not sure I would even both traveling with the scale during P3/P4 either. Just do protein days instead of steak days if you're up by more than 2 pounds of your LIW/LDW when you return. Protein days are a lot like steak days but you eat all day...just limit the veggies and no fruit.

Yes, this is a diet - but it's also a lifestyle. The scale will have to be our friend the rest of our lives so we have to work within our lifestyles to make it easy to do. If traveling with the scale is tough, then don't do it - you're not gone that long and can correct any again quickly upon your return.

    Just my two cents.

I agree with Robbi. This diet changes our lives, but it has to be "livable", too. I have refused from day one to get as uptight as some about things. It just isn't who I am. If I can't be comfortable in what I am doing, I do not excel in the long run. So sometimes I drink a Diet Coke that's not on protocol, or have a cup of tea that isn't perfect for protocol. I don't do anything that is a big cheat, especially with foods. I live a clean life. I try not to sweat the small stuff. Spent too many years doing that and making myself sick in so many ways.

Relax, weigh when you're home, and enjoy the changes that are happening in your life. :]
