I am doing sublingual for the first time, and I have a little irritation under my tongue this morning. This would be my fourth day of using sublingual Rx, mixed with bacteriostatic water with .9% sodium chloride. Has this happened to anyone? I held it under my tongue for a long time yesterday, probably about 10 minutes (I normally hold it about 2-3 minutes), and this morning woke up with the gland under my tongue a little swollen/irritated. Is there a fix to this or is this just a thing of letting time heal it? Any advice would be appreciated.
Hi, I haven't begun yet,but I am going to do sublingual as well. I am a dental hygienist, and I think your problem may be due to the sodium chloride and the amount of time it is being held under your tongue. Salt can work for you and against you. A little bit is ok, but, a longer time under your tongue can be an irritant. You may want to mix with something more calming to the mucosa of your mouth. You will be ok though. Just a pain in the neck to deal with. Good luck! Chris
Ah! Thanks so much, Chris! I will make sure to hold it under my tongue for less time for the rest of this batch, and look for something more soothing for my next mix. Glad to know it's nothing terribly serious.
