So, I have not been using these during Phase 2 but am starting to see the importance of them for my Phase 3. I went to Whole Foods and bought a lactase enzyme to help me better digest dairy and I got their "Wholezyme" which helps overall digestion. One thing I noticed after buying it... it has "rice flour" and "rice bran" in the tiny caplet... Should I be concerned that it is enough to mess with my "no starches"?? I paid a lot of money ($20!) for this enzyme and really hope that it isn't a significant amount to really be absorbed....
Thoughts?
Also, maybe we could start a thread for Phase 2,3, and 4ers who have used enzymes to help them with certain foods?!?! Just a thought! I would love some enzyme success stories!
I don't think they have enough in them to make a difference. But I suppose keep a eye on things and if you think it's affecting things you can buy different ones and save these for P4.
I am in R2P3 right now and definitely notice a difference when i take enzymes. I do take a probiotic every day but the enzymes when I am going to eat something a bit rogue or heavy and my weight dips when i take them! (no matter what i eat - it seems) I recommend them highly.
I *never* considered taking these until this diet!!! I must say, I am finding them to be SUPER helpful and if anyone experiences the occuring "tummy ache" during phase 3, this might be a solution. I have come to realize that I might be lactose intolerant.. and - again, have NOT figured this out before this diet (thank you hCG diet!!!), so not only do I avoid "low-fat" dairy like the plague, but I also supplement my dairy intake with a lactase enzyme and my tummy doesn't bloat to the size of a blowfish!!!!! *Yay!!!!*
I hope others put their success stories up here with the enxzyme use! It really helps with the re-introduction of foods. :D
