I just found this Forum and was thrilled. I am on RD2, P3, extended P3 actually. I read somewhere it should be five weeks on the second round.
Here is my issue: I stablized great on RD 1, but this time I made the mistake of going out dinner in P3 eating too much as well as having an alcoholic drink. Its been 2 weeks, and I still can't get back to my ending weight. I seem to be up 3-4 pounds pretty consistently. I have not really been eating carbs, with the exception of almonds, cashews and a little dark plain chocolate and some higher carb fruits, no pasta, bread, rice or anything else carb wise. I 've done two egg days (I read about using this if you dont eat red meat as a fix) It worked great and I lost 2.25 both times, however I immediately gain it back within a day.
Can anyone helop me figure out what I can do to get this weight back off???
Typical Day Menu:
Plain greek yogurt or cottage cheese Berries, peach or pineapple Hand ful of nuts
Cheese stick
Chicken breast Cottage Cheese
Apple
Turkey Burger Pattie with slice of cheese Broccoli 1/2 avocado
You don't seem to be eating much. How big are your chicken breasts and turkey patties? Also P3 is always only 3 weeks, not matter how long you wait between rounds. The wait between rounds 2 and 3 is 8 weeks but you only spend 3 weeks of that in P3.
I never weighed them but at least 6 oz. Do you think I am not eating enough??? I was alittle concerned that was it. Can you suggest some other foods to eat and incorporate. Since I haven;t been eating carbs much, I have to go a little longer so I can get those into my diet.
I'd up my fats some. Are you cooking with oils at all? Maybe add some coconut oil to your menu somewhere. Make sure you're getting enough veggies too. put butter on your veggies and get more calories that way.
I was eating almonds, cashews and pecans. Ok, I can do the coconut oil again. I tried that bark and gained from it, so I was alittle afraid it was the cococut oil.Anything else I can do ?? I want to get back to my LIW
cut the cashews then. They are a problem for some, including me. If you want to get back to your LIW first, do a high protein day with no fruits and eating meat every 2-3 hours.
