Hi all - could use some assisatance (and newbie patience =) )
I started Tues 7/14 and the 500 cal on 7/16 so it's been 1 week and I've lost 7 lbs... my question is - when will I get some energy back??? I am so weak, fatigued, dizzy/faint and 'stupid' (can't think - like brain fog!!!) that I am definitely having second thoughts... I am in sales (custom window treatments) and have a couple appts coming up (YAY! finally!!! it's been sooo slooooow this summer) and am concerned about being able to lift and carry my samples in and out of the car when my arms and legs feel like jello - and doing my presentation while I feel like I'm a slug wading through a vat of jello, yeah - no energy AT ALL!!!!
So - I will be grateful for any encouragement and info of WHEN will I feel more like 'me' =)
Also if there are other newbies on the same journey who would like to join w/ me for support/encouragement/shish-boo-bahhh that would be fabulous!!!
    Thank you so much!!!!
    Take care and many blessings!
ps - sorry for the WAHHHHHH!!!!

    Hey Madi,

I am a bit surprised, the HCG should prevent all of that. Where did you get it? Are you sure it is good? Please share the details of your hcg.

To help with the tiredness go get a B12 injection. It will help a lot. Taking B12 orally will not help near as much.

My first round I was very tired/weak/ditzy for the first 10 days or so. I think I read on here that the "brain fog" and lack of energy is related to your body detoxing. It will get better! Have you considered taking B12? (Search B12 above and you'll get lots of useful information) I also noticed that if I went walking atleast 20-30 minutes outside, I'd feel much better. Hope you are feeling much better soon!

I am own an HCG clinic in Vancouver, WA. There are several different protocals for doing the HCG diet. We encourage everyone to eat 850-1250 calories a day. High protein, low carb, organic and nutritious. With the symptoms you are describing your body is telling you, you are not getting enough. Add protein to your diet through protein shakes, egg whites or additional lean meat. Be sure to get your lean mass and fat mass tested regularly so that you are sure you are losing the fat mass and not your lean mass. Your body is detoxifying which will create a sluggishness, be sure to drink plenty of water. Hang in there, it will get easier!

    MadiMM,
Are you following Dr. Simeons original protocol? http://hcgdietinfo.com/Dr-ATW-Simeons-Pounds-and-Inches.htm

I would encourage you to stick as close to it as possible. You didnt say whether or not you are hungry. If you are, then your dose is off and that would explain some of the fatique. Also as Tarra pointed out, you may very well be detoxing, it will pass.

Many people do the B-12 shots and it helps a good deal.

Thanks for the quick reply ladies. I was wondering the same thing myself Dana - I did well w/ Atkins about 10 yrs ago and carbs are my downfall for sure.
Tara, I am taking HCG Homeopathic Diet Drops (D141) by DNA Labs as well as Vitamin B-12 by Mediral.
I drink plenty of water - I tend to sweat and it's been ~108 out lately (Phx area) as well am having my own 'personal summer' in the middle of the outside heat. Which surprisingly has gotten soooo much better!! That's a plus for sure!!!
Yesterday I stopped at Sunflower Market on my way home from work and spoke at length w/ a knowledgeable woman in the health area. She recommended Women's One by Rainbow Light multivitamin once a day and Natural Spirulina - 500 mg several times a day w/ food.
Needless to say, I chowed down an apple as soon as I got in the car and took both.
I also took them both w/ lunch and the Spirulina 2 additional times today. I am definitely feeling better today, but am still a long ways away from feeling anywheres near normal. My daughter started the same day and feels fine.
I will add egg whites to my salads and eat some more meat - that makes sense. How can I add a protein shake? That also sounds helpful if I'm home.
Thank you again for your willing assistance!!! I so appreciate it!!!

Eat foods with potassium and take your supplements, calcium, magnesium, multi.

I had such a hard time my first round! I was so tired, also you can purchase some b-12.

I hope your feeling better soon!

I will also try the potassium... I have been avoiding it since I am also trying to keep the foods more IC friendly.

I was thinking you might be detoxing from caffeins and sugar? Are you still drinking tea and coffee? Eat more of the spinach as your vegetable. Drink some smart water . You could substitute a protein shake in for one of your meals and find one with good supplementation. I found the last thing on that list helped me get my energy back up. Although some of these are technically off protocol - lots of people use them here and have no problems. People recommend Jay Robb shakes, but I occassionally sub an EAS protein shake and have no problems. These are sold at Walmart. Good luck.
