I'm afraid I may have injected sub q accidently.
My first round, I had a nurse friend do my shots. I HATE needles! This round I had her do the first couple and then I took over on mine an hubby's to keep us from having to drive so much. I tried to do them quickly like everyone says but the first one I jerked around and it scared me and stung and the next day I just about had a mental breakdown trying to do it. I went REALLY slow and didn't feel a thing, so that has been my way to do it. i do hubby's quickly and he says he doesn't feel them.
Tonight I just did mine (we were sent with those 1" diabetic needles) and when the needle got 3/4ths of the way in I met resistance like I have not felt before. I went ahead and injected because I knew I would not be able to work up to it again tonight but I am not sure I got it in the muscle. When I aspirated I felt a 'pull' and I don't beleive I usually feel anything when I aspirate. Any thoughts? Should I be concerned that this injection was wasted? I guess it depends on how much fat I've got there huh? What do you think I ran into?
I am going to do some more research on injections but I would love to get some feedback. This makes me SO nervous!

Just to clarify, I do know I meet a tiny bit of resistance at the muscle, more like a change of texture if you will. This was a different feeling, and I increased pressure a bit and the needle did not want to enter whatever I was hitting.

If you didn't get it into the muscle one day it probably won't matter.
