Hello, I have just started the HCG diet and I am planning my meals. If I have Chicken for dinner can I have chicken for lunch the next day? How much variation to the diet foods must I have?

The only variation Dr. Simeon's protocol suggested that would be beneficial was if you ate American beef at one meal to switch to fish or chicken at the next meal, otherwise, you can eat the same thing both meals, if you really wanted to.

Thanks, I thought it would cut down on cooking time if I cooked dinner and lunch for the next day at the same time. Just trying to stay out of the kitchen. :)

    Thanks again.

I ate only chicken and fish my last round. quite often the same one for both meals and sometimes several days in a row. I actually lost a bit more than I did the first round. Not attributing it to that, but it didnt affect my losses any to repeat my protien selections.

He actually says in America to eat VEAL not regular beef and even when eating beef to sub out something lower fat for the other meal. I'm not eating any beef at all this round to see how I do.

From P & I: While this diet works satisfactorily in Italy, certain modifications have to be made in other countries. For instance, American beef has almost double the caloric value of South Italian beef, which is not marbled with fat. This marbling is impossible to remove. In America, therefore, low-grade veal should be used for one meal and fish (excluding all those species such as herring, mackerel, tuna, salmon, eel, etc., which have a high fat content, and all dried, smoked or pickled fish), chicken breast, lobster, crawfish, prawns or shrimp, crabmeat or kidneys for the other meal.

Yes you can eat the same fruit both times during the day but just don't eat both servings at one time.
