I figured everyone else has a special thread so let's start one for cyclers and tweakers. Let's share our ups and downs.

Now just for the record, the below posts are not on Dr. S's protocol but they have worked for some of us. Not everyone is can cycler or tweak the protocol, and if you try any of the things on the thread you try it at your own risk LOL

With that said, it is great to have conversations about it, but this isn't the thread to debate cycling okay? Let's just accept that there are those of us who do it, we've been successful and happy and want to talk with others who also have been successful and happy with the results.

So if you are a nay-sayer, please try to keep your opinions in your head and not on this thread??? I know it's hard because we all feel so passionate about various things and feel the need to say something. We all are aware that it isn't on protocol and we've made other's aware of this.

I've been cycling since this past January and am really enjoying the freedom.

    I cycle with 2 weeks on P2 and 1 week on P3.

I fill and freeze my needles for the current two week period taking 1 out the night before and putting it in the fridge. It makes it so much easier for me.

I mix my veges. I often have cucumbers in my salad along with tomatoes and cauliflower.

    What do you do?

    Jenni

i just posted something like this a minute ago. you can read my post about not liking being rouge and you can see all i have done. I did try cycling a few months ago. i did 2 weeks on, 3 weeks off, and then a 23 day. My losses have never been as great as the first 40 day round i did, but i was never as perfect as i was then. That makes sense

Oh wow! I didn't know mixing even the allowed veges wasn't allowed-LOL. I've done that all along! This round I've used Jay Robb Whey PP alot! No problems at all! And...I only weighed myself one day-Sunday (VLCD7) for me, I was down 7lbs. And...I exercise 3x a day, not strenuous, but still helps keep the metabolism up. I'm thinking of eating a whole grapefruit as my fruit option instead of 1/2, but haven't gotten brave enough yet!

Interesting thread Jenni! I'm at goal (thank you, hhcg), but my sister is planning on cycling. How does the 2 weeks on 1 week off cycle work for you? How are your losses? Also, you do P3 without the hcg, right?

Az, I eat a whole pink grapefruit for breakfast... the smaller ones, about the size of a softball. Especially when I'm on P2, I feel it really helps with loss. I'm starting another P2 today so I'm interested to see if I continue to have good losses with them again. That's the only fruit I eat for the day. I don't put any sweetener on them... I like them au naturel!

I made wonderful celery and grilled onion soup last night - mixing veggies! I also threw in some previously grilled tilapia for a yummy fish chowder. I've also been skipping lunch a lot and having a larger dinner instead. vlcd 22 down 24.4 lbs.

I mix my veggies on salad or taco salad day and add Jay Robb whey protein powder to my morning smoothie. GASP!!! ;)

Oh, and I occassionally have a Zevia soda (all natural, flavored with Stevia) with my lunch. They are actually pretty darn good and don't give you that icky feeling that normal diet soda does. Plus, you don't crave them like you do the other stuff.

I am a newbie cycler and didn't do a P4 after my first round. I stabilized fine and after three weeks on P3, went in to P2 (I am only doing 2 rounds total). I had a major cheat day 6 days in this second round as you'll see from the Round Two Group - Saddle Up thread, but other than that, haven't had any issues this round and was losing really well the first week before I stuffed my face with multiple no-no foods. Back on track and over it ;).

I am currently on my first round of 30 days (last day of HCG is this Saturday) and I think I'm going to do 3 weeks of P3 and then head back into P2. I've been stalled for the last few days and it's really frustrating me. I had hoped to lose 20-25 lbs this round (at my 2nd check up, my Dr. told me at the rate I was going I'd probably lose 20-25 lbs), but right now I'm stuck at 12 lbs (from pre-load weight) with only 5 HCG days left.

I really hope to only need 2 rounds. I'm trying to figure out if I should do the 3 weeks in P3 and then start cycling like Jenni (2 weeks of P2 and 1 week of P3) or if I should do 3 weeks of P3 and then 23 days of P2. What do you guys think? Any tips, advice, etc???

    Here are my stats:

    5'7"
    7/9 (1st load day) - 182.2
    7/10 (2nd load day) - 184.5

I am on R2P3D7 and sitting at .3 under LDW. I am using hhcg. I broke all of the rules and did not complete a P4 before cycling back to P2 the first time. I do tend to be rogue, and listen to my body as much as the incredible advice and experiences of those here. I lost better in my second P2 round than I did in my first, and I am stabilizing well so far in this second P3. I ended my first P3 at .6 under LDW, and as I said, I am at .3 under so far at the end of the first week of this P3. I plan to keep doing this until I am at goal, then do another strict P3, and a very careful P4 to set everything in motion for the future. I had planned to do 2 wks of P2 and 1-2 weeks of P3 each time (before I actually experienced cycling back), but I speeded up on the losses at the end of 2 weeks of P2 so I kept going to finish 23 days. I think I will just listen to my body each cycle to determine when to end P2. I am not going to set a strict schedule. If my losses increase, I don't want to stop right then to do a P3.

All of this goes out the window if I ever go thru a P3 with problems stabilizing. If that happens, I will continue on to P4 and do it all protocol-style before beginning another round. My body reacts well to the P3 foods, so I am hopeful that all will go well and I can cycle my way to my goal. :]

Thank you Lady Smart for starting this thread!

Kat, it's up to you but I would do at least 1 week of P4 before doing a cycle. Preferably 3 weeks, so you know how your body will respond to sugars and carbs.
