    Hello all,

I'm new to this forum so not very familiar with the abbreviations. Its been 10 days since I have just started the hcg diet (homeopathy drops). I am on Phase 2..was doing great till the 5th day where I was losing 600 gms (1.25 pounds) a day. On the sixth day I lost nothing...stalled for 2 days, so did the apple day on Day8 and lost another 800 gms (a little under 2 pounds). Yesterday I went back to the VLCD and this morning my weight was up by 300 gms!

I havent cheated at all! I even cut down on the breadsticks. I am feeling quite let down. ANyone experienced this? I did add half a tsp of oyster sauce, and a dash of soy and liquid smoke to my steamed cabbage yesterday. Could that be the reason? Is soy sauce allowed? I omitted all of these in my meal today, I hope I lose some weight tomorrow. I have 15 more pounds to lose and was thinking just this round would be enough!

Any recommendations? Please help! Thank you

It's common to regain part or all of what is lost on an apple day. That's why I never recommend them. Also they are not to be done unless the stall is 4 days or longer. It's very common to stall a bit after good weight loss. Soy isn't allowed and I don't know what oyster sauce is but look at the ingredients. If any sugar or starch is in there and it has any calories, it's not allowed. :-(

According to Dr. Simeons, when you break a stall by an apple day, it is common to gain some weight back. Also, is your soy sauce sugar free? A lot of folks use Braggs liquid amino acids instead since they taste like soy but have no sugar. Check your ingredients list for the soy, oyster sauce and liquid smoke and make sure they don't have sugar or corn syrup or starches etc. added. Don't worry about gaining a bit back from the apple day, it is normal. Good luck!

Thank you, grammy!Hmm...yeah, you're right, but I was so losing out of patience that I decided to do the apple day after my 2nd day of stall. I guess I had been so happy with the scales showing a lower weight every day, that it almost seemed unbelievable. When I stalled I got scared that this would be it...I wouldn't lose any more weight...and just wanted to get out of it asap, like a fool!

Ok so soy is surely off my list. The ingredients on the oyster sauce bottle are in chinese, but I probably should cut that out as well. Liquid smoke has 0 calories...actually has nothing...so will keep that for the flavoring...hehehe...

    Thank you, once again!

Coleen, you probably have posted the answer to this somewhere else, sorry.... What do you do instead of an apple day on p2? A mini protein day?
