Ok, I have to do my shots slowly, fast scares me too bad, but I almost never feel anything so it works for me. I use the diabetic needles, injecting into my thigh. I have had 5 needles so far that have been dull and would not break through the skin. When I would force it through it would hurt badly and make me jump and pull out. Then I change to a new needle and it goes right through, no pain no problem. Anyone else had this prob?

I am wondering if this is a normal side effect for anyone. Sex has become kinda painful lately, like I am shorter or him longer, and less natural lubricant if you know what I mean, and it is making me mad. I have been getting a lot of attention lately and can not enjoy it near enough! I do not remember this from my last round. Is it the hCG or should I be concerened about something else going on?

My answer will probably be TMI also but my husband is the one that suggested this. Have you lost a lot of weight in your "gut"? If you had a lot of weight in your gut or thigh area and lost some there he may be able to get "deeper" then he has ever been before. There is less cushion for the pushing as he put it...lol

I honestly have never read about any sexual side effects only one I'm having is I'm getting so much attention I don't know what to do with it but I think it also helps the weight loss. The nights I have sex I lose the most...lol

Painful sex is a problem. Look at it this way: if you get checked by a gynecologist and nothing's wrong, then you'll know you need to explore alternative positions and perhaps play with lubricants. If you get checked by a gynecologist and there IS something wrong, you can get treatment immediately. If you DON'T get checked by a gynecologist and there IS something wrong, the consequences could be severe. (I have a friend who can never have children because she ignored the fact that sex was painful. If she'd gotten treatment earlier, she would have been fine.) Be smart; get it checked!

I think it depends on the kind of pain. Is he hitting your cervix (which is uncomfortable)? If that's the case, perhaps Lorisha's idea is correct in that he can now get 'closer'. Is it because your body needs lubricant? Depending on your age, your body may not lubricate as much. Women have less lubricant the closer they get to menopause as well as after.

it also has to do with the time of your cycle read up on the book "Taking charge of your fertility" it explains everything about the positions of the cervix according to where you are in your cycle.
you wont be sorry even if your not TTC its very educational about our female functions etc... hope it helps =)

Thanks everyone. I do not think my weightloss has been enough to make that kind of change (240-190), plus it came on very suddenly. I know he is getting more excited the more weight I loose (which makes me appreciate what a tropper he has been through my up and down weight over the years, not one complaint) so that may be part of it. I am only 25 and have never before had an issue with lubrication. I am hoping maybe it does have something to do with my cycle, because I haven't had one in years, and maybe my body is trying to rev up in that direction now that I've lost some. I want to be pregnant so bad it makes me crazy. Thanks everyone!

Oh, and I have been to my gyne several times this year trying to figure out all my problems with pcos etc, and I go back in December, so I am hoping to hold of... maybe I shouldn't but unless it really becomes an issue I think I will... hope that is the right thing to do...

Are you on thyroid meds? That's often the base of pcos.

No thyroid meds, it has always shown to be in the normal range, and I have had a lot of bloodwork done. My LH and FSH have been consistantly low and my testosterone is high, and the ultrasound shows cysts, and that's it. I am not even insulin resistant. My doctor is hoping the weight loss will help, but I never even had consistant periods before I gained the weight, so I am not hopeful. PCOS has to do with all those glands... the hypothalmus is involved, the adrenals, the thyroid, the pituitary, such a complicated thing.
