I am on my second round of the HCG injections, 3rd low calorie day. I wasnt able to load properfly.. i am unable to eat the fats and grease after my first round I did try.. but dont think i loaded as well as i did the first time. My question is, since i am a bit hungrier now than i was the first round, i am sure that will end by the end of the week, can i add extra protein? I have a very strenuous job, i bartend nights at a very busy sports bar. I am not sure if that adds to the hunger? I lost 29lbs my first round. I did 45 days. I only have about 15lbs left to loose, and maybe not even that much. I am only going to do 23 days this round. I have already lost 6lbs this round. I just find myself very hungry in the late afternoon and want to nibble on chcken breast or finish a whole mahi fish fillet? i am not eating any grissini or melba, so thinking maybe i can make up for those calories with protein? I also drink the jay robb shakes.. i add lots of ice and my strawberries so one scoop can make 2 pint glasses.. but it seems to fill me for a min. then im hungry again. My last round i had NO appitite at all! i had to force myself to get the shakes down just to have something in me.. i totally skipped out on my veggies many days, just did the protein and fruit. I was very successful last round. Hoping to have the same success this rd! Thx for any advice.
Whenever I have a "hungry" day, I add 1 extra portion of protein as well as eating all my alloted food for the day including the grissini that I normally omit
Just keep in mind that I am a protein person I do well on Atkins type plans I eat beef on this plan 3 times a week with an average daily loss of 0.7389 lbs.
I've only done one round of P2, on P3 now... lost 28 pounds on a 39 day round... and I found that, about mid-way through, I NEEDED the extra protein. I cut out a serving of fruit and melba and ate up the calories with protein instead. Weight loss came off quicker, I felt better, and all around it worked great. :)
I'm the same as Donna. My body loves protein and I always do well with extra. I've averaged just a tad over a 1 lb a day doing my cycles. If you are hungry two things you can do is add extra protein and/or you can slice up a cucumber very thin, put it in a container and sprinkle with some spices. I use sea salt and cracked pepper and munch on them all day. An entire cucumber is about 50 calories.
What's your dose? I'd guess it needs adjusted, especially since you weren't hungry last round. the new stuff is more potent and most people are taking less.
He did IM. And he did change the dose some evidently because he says going over 200 is never necessary because it can cause the reverse action. I just know changing the dose works. Everyone's body is different.
Can you please quote that? I missed it when I re-read it. Also, many people do IM and you still decide it's a dosage question so I would like more info please ;)
For instance, if the diet is increased from 500 to 600 or 700 Calories, the loss of weight is quite unsatisfactory. If the daily dose of HCG is raised to 200 or more units daily its action often appears to be reversed, possibly because larger doses evoke diencephalic counter-regulations.
Hunger is the sign the dose is off. All through Pounds and Inches he says you will have no hunger and the only times hunger is mentioned is when abnormal fat is being consumed. And when the dose is tweaked here on the board, we can generally find the right dose and the hcger finds their happy place. It's most often a dose that is too high. I've experienced it myself so I know exactly how it feels. It's a gnawing hunger that doesn't go away even after eating. Miserable!
I think "is raised" raises a flag doesn't it? And he goes on to state 200 or more. Isn't that what people are giving themselves subq. I wonder why he never recommended subq and also why he said "if the dose is raised" which leads me to believe it shouldn't be raised.
I also believe, and I'll have to go look it up that he states it is common to be hungry in the beginning. Let's look at that one.
Also, the ONLY possible reason I could see for not listening to Dr. S. and changing doses is due to the different companies making it. Like any pill, if another company makes it you may not have the same results. So in that aspect I totally agree. You've been stating this all along though from when you started on here a little over a year ago, so am curious why you think this is the only reason for hunger.
Not arguing, just curious how you came to decide this. What tests have been done other then using people as guinea pigs? (which isn't a bad way to do it, mind you) just curious.
