Ok, so, yesterday, we established that it was .2lbs I was up after steak day. Yes, I did have milk and mayo....so, guess that could be the culprit. I did an all protein day yesterday. Ate chicken, steak, sausage, a (very few) boiled shrimp and nothing else...I did have coffee last night with half and half. But, also drank over 2 liters of smart water yesterday. I even finally had a BM (sorry if this is TMI). This morning, I'm up 2lbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, now I am 5.2lbs over my LDW. What do I do???????????? I feel like I'm on a gaining track now! And, I'm seriously scared! What now??????????????? Please, tell me what to do!!!!!

Oh dear. Do you have shrimp often? Could it be you are allergic to shrimp? It's also possible the gain is a delayed reaction from the milk or mayo.

Try another all protein day today with pure meats, no shrimp. I wouldn't do sausage either. It's usually loaded with preservatives.

Could TOM be around the corner? Stay away from sausages because they tend to have sugar and such. Unfortunately, I am not sure what is going on with you and wish I could help. But I am curious as to what is happening.

Are you working out? Tracking your calories? Did you have a lot of salt to season your meat? This is just my suggestion, I am sure others will have ideas. If I want to drop 1-2lbs in a day, this ALWAYS works for me. I'd have two meals of LEAN protein and veggies only. No fat, no carbs, no nuts, no dairy. I would have scrambled Egg Beaters with LOTS of P2 vegetables (mix them if you wish) and lots of herbs/spices, and top it with salsa or tomatoes. For dinner iId have a large salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, onions etc. and either grilled chicken, turkey, salmon or Quorn and a light/low-cal dressing. If I got really hungry in between meals I'd have some low-salt pickles, sugar-free jello, a few small apple slices or a non-fat Greek yogurt.

The other thing I'm wondering about is were you hungry on your round? It's possible your body is trying to add back some normal fat.

TOM is supposed to start a week from Sunday so, I'm still a little far out for that. Although, I have been cramping and did start during my pill pack last month. Bleed through. So, maybe it is trying to do that again. Grammy, I do eat and love shrimp. Before HCG, I never had a problem with them. Since on HCG, they do tend to make me gain. Perhaps it's all the salt from the (New Orleans) boil. I will avoid the sausage today. I'm seriously craving sweet now that I know I can't have it. The coffee was my sweet treat but, guess I should not have that for sake of the half and half.

Straightscoop, I do not work out. However, I have two small children that I chase and take care of my husband's 90 year old alzheimer's grandmother who lives with us. I rarely sit. I also can't do too much at the moment as I have just found out that I have two herniated discs in my neck and have to watch exactly what I do. I don't track calories. I do use alot of salt but, then again, that's nothing new. I have always used alot. I'm confused about the egg beaters. I don't have any....how are they different from eggs? Also, I though carrots were a BIG no-no. Lots of sugar, right? And, I thought high protein meant no fruits....thought it was just protein and fat. I did lay off the nuts yesterday, and no cheese either...I didn't even eat any veggies. Just meat ALLLLL DAY!!!!

Grammy, I have some rotissere chicken and some bottom round sirloin. Also some 90% lean ground beef. Think those will work????? What about soft drinks? I did have coke zero yesterday....I know some people don't think you should use them but, I've never had a problem before using them in P3 (I avoid them in P2).

What's in the rotissere chicken? I tend not to eat anything I don't cook when I'm trying to get down.

You don't have to use Egg Beaters, you can use regular eggs or just the whites. I like the Egg Beaters because they keep longer, have no fat, and are convenient to use because they come in a carton. If you do a high-protein day, that's correct, no fruit. I usually only have the lean protein and vegetables. Once in a while I have a couple SMALL apple slices if I'm REALLY desperate and have nothing else to snack on. (like if I'm traveling or stuck away from home)

As far as carrots, I like a few slivers in my salad. Carrots don't have a lot of sugar, and I don't eat very much, just 2-3 of the baby ones. They have LESS sugar than fruit, and less than tomatoes. According to Calorieking.com data, three baby carrots: Total Carbs. 2.4g Dietary Fiber 1.8g Sugars 1.5g

It might be helpful to keep a log of what you are eating and track the calories, just to give yourself an idea if you gained from a particular food, or if you eating more than you should.

Grammy, it is the rotissere chicken from Sam's club. It does have some seasoning on the skin but, no fat...it all drips off in the cooking process. The sirloin is from there too. I made very sure there was no sugar added in the seasoning on the label....

No sugar either? If so it should be okay. :-)
