Does a steak day work if done after the weight has been on a while? I am considering doing one today. My 6lb vacation gain is still holding on. I am definitely needing "strict dieting" as Dr. S says to get it off, but not sure if I should start out the week with a steak day or just go high protein all week. Thanks!

You could try it but you might not lose as well as if you had done it the morning of the gain. But it's worth a shot.

Okay I will try it today! Then I will do some protein days until I get this weight off!

I am going to the doctor at the end of the month for hopefully a switch to Armour and some food intolerance testing. It is ridiculous how the weight has come back. I have not been eating ANY starches or sugars so something is definitely up.

Well I only lost 1.4 on my steak day. But at least the scale is moving in the right direction! Only 5 to go! I am sticking to protein and veggies today with no nuts, dairy or cheese and we'll see what tomorrow brings :-)

How is getting back to your LDW going, herewegoagain?

I'm also struggling with a 5 lb gain. I've done a few steak days and high protein days and the weight always comes back. I recently found out I have a hypo-thyroid and am worried my metabolism is making this stabilizing harder. I'm doing a steak day again today and keeping my fingers crossed for a good loss!!

I have done delayed steak days and they worked just as if i had done them the day before i think the only problem is (the amount of weight gain over the liw) if its gotten high enough I am not sure what the outcome would be but it never hurts to try i mean our bodies wouldnt object to indulging in some extra protien for a day or two im sure in fact im doing a protien day as we speak ...

Hi all, been MIA for a bit but wanted to send a quick comment; I'm in P4 now, about 6 or 7 weeks now, have done well with stabilizing, hover not quite 2# over LIW until this last weekend where I went all out and ate like crazy! Was up 3# so did my first steak day yesterday and was thrilled this morning to see the results - DOWN 3.4#!!! That puts me .2 under my LIW, I couldn't believe my eyes! Am going full protein today just to keep myself in check, but am so jazzed to see that the steak day really does work!

lsl017, so glad to hear that you had such good results!!! I am going to do one tomorrow( I just can't today with work) and I REALLY hope that it takes the weight off!!! I am so bummed, I can't seem to get my weight down...it keeps going up and up and up and I'm eating fine as far as I can tell, the same things that I ate 3 weeks ago at the begining of P4 with NO PROBLEM, then now, all of a sudden it is causing a gain! Wish me luck tomorrow, that is really my only hope left :(

Congrats lsl017, stabilizing has become a dream in the sky for me, hahaha!

I feel ya amyjo.. I did a steak day on Monday and woke up to a 4# loss! I ate healthy normal yesterday, only thing I had that may have been questionable is oatmeal (i'm in P4 and have been wanting to try it out) and I'm up 3# again today. I don't get it!!!!

I stabilized fine for 3 weeks then its been a roller coaster ever since and I'm officially 3# over my LDW. Every time I have done a steak day, I see losses but they come back 2 days later. I'm about to start another round of drops, but am scared it will not be good b/c I can't seem to stabilize. I took my measurements this morning and am barely up. I did start up my workout routine 2 weeks ago and have been jogging 3x a week and doing cardio dance 3x a week.. maybe the exercise is causing the increase?
