Colleen six weeks sounds so much better than 7 not sure why the centre I go to says 7, I have 40 shots to do skipping Sundays. This takes me to Oct 1st. I would love to stop at 6 but reading Dr S book he has when you have loss 35 you should not loose anymore unless you're excess obese, he says 40 shots to skipping a day each week.

you can go anywhere from 23 to 40 shots though. There's not set amount that you have to do other than it must be at least 23 days on the hcg. In the early days on this forum we read P & I to mean 40 days. Then a careful rereading showed it to be 40 shots. That the skipping allowed for 40 shots not just 40 days. But many, many of us have done 40 days.

Thanks Colleen. I woke up this am to another 1lb gone so hopefully I can stick this through. Am reading Dr S book again as I skimmed through it the last time.

Thank you for this thread - for me, I relate to the struggles of others even more than the success. Changing habits and mindsets is HARD. Sharing those frustrations can be hard too, yet sharing seems to lessen the burden.

For all you frustrated lurkers - Type a Comment!! Hitting that button brings you into the community and a burden shared is a burden lighter!

...and it helps others who just might have the same hurdle in their path.

    Blessings to all!

Paendora - Excellent, excellent advice! Thanks for posting it.

So, I did cheat yesterday - little cheats all day - extra breadsticks, a handful of baked cheese curls, some extra protein, even Smart Start cereal last night (but didn't drink the milk). Was up 0.3lbs this am from yesterday. Not horrible results. Just hoping it doesn't get worse tomorrow! Back on strict protocol today -- I mean it!!! ;)

To be honest, I think the cheating sort of helped me in the sense that I didn't get the sense of euphoria from the food that I thought I would. LOL It ain't all it's cracked up to be! I mean, I would take a bite of something and feel like, "Eww. Not what I wanted." So, lesson learned. Hope I can hang on to that!!!

Love it and you are so right Paendora I was almost not going to post as I was embarrassed but sooo thankful I did, it really helped me to get it out in the open and literally saved me .

Crissybeez you can do this, it is very strict but we will do this. There seems to be so much more to this diet than meets the eye, however after completing a first round and being able to maintain my weight is a positive. When am finished this round I will be doing shorter rounds though and I really hope to complete this round and not stop so I will be seeking the support to get my mind into it.

I did a long round this time, but ended up only taking 38 shots plus the skip days because I just couldn't stand it anymore. I've lost about 36 pounds, and did not meet my goal of 40 pounds which would have taken me into "onederland." But that makes it an easy goal for next round, which I don't plan on doing until January. I will not do a long round again, because it just got so hard by the end, hating the food, wanting cheese etc. so much, feeling nauseated when I tried to cook. It will be easier to talk myself into starting again when I figure it will only be for about half the time of this round. Tomorrow I start P3 and am so relieved.

Have fun with P3 kbj, I enjoyed that phase of it. Your stats sound close to mine. I too will only do a shorter round, and hopefully by next year this time I will be at goal , am not going to rush it. This time I have my cousins wedding mid Nov and would like to be at least in the 180's by then.

I only did short round. I barely made it through that. Could not stand the thoughts of that same food for longer than that. I would never do a long round. Would rather do several short rounds, if needed.

Jbraze, lord knows am ready to finish this round like NOW but am still in the 200s and need to be at 185 by Oct.
I hope I can press on for another 4 weeks
