Ok, so I did a 35 day round back in April (it was my very first time on hcg, sublingual)...I lost roughly 35ish lbs in that amount of time. In late June/early July, my hair started to fall out...quite a bit in fact....NOT FUN....I went to my hairdresser, my internal medicine dr & then finally my dermatologist & she told me it was most likely from having my gall bladder out in February & that I had a lot of new growth all over the place & that she could tell by the length of my new hair that it matched up with the time of my surgery. I did not however tell her about me taking the hcg....my question to all of you is, do you think its possible that my hair is really falling out from my surgery & not from taking the hcg & losing weight??? I really want to do another couple few rounds at least, but am now so terrified of losing a lot more hair....i was so stressed out the last time it happened & as much as i want to lose this weight, I'm thinking if my hair is gonna go again, then i should maybe try another way to get this weight off..... Any thoughts??? Thanks!
any low calorie diet can have an effect on your hair. In your case, you had a double whammy--surgery AND diet. Take biotin with the next round. That should help tremendously.
Thanks! I took biotin all thru my 1st round (+every other vitamin known to man) & now I am even taking regenemax too...I wonder if because I lost so much hair the 1st time, does it mean i will lose it the 2nd time??? Do you think if i cycle i would have a better chance to NOT hair, or at least not SO much hair!!??
I'm betting you lost so much from your surgery more than anything. I did the same when I had my gallbladder out. I don't recommend cycling so you'll have to ask someone else about that.
Grammy, you lost a lot of hair when you had your gall bladder out??...interesting....at first i thought it couldnt be from the surgery cuz i had it in Feb & then i started losing hair in June/July...idk....but she said she was sure that's what it was from by the length of my new hair...huh....i really want to do another round...I'm so torn...wish this hair thing wasnt a side effect!!!
Thats funny, cuz thats exactly what she was talking about, she kept referring to the length of my hair now & all these technical terms & that she could tell by how long the new growth was that it timed up with my surgery...huh...& i thought it was strictly from the hcg...
What might have happened is that you lost hair after the surgery but didn't notice. Then you lost more while on hcg and that was enough TO notice. So you got that double whammy. No double whammy this time. :-)
I am on my 4th round and have noticed that my hair shedding increases A LOT after I'm in p3 and stops again when I'm taking the hcg. I have hormonal "issues" and am on bio-identical hormones. Grammy, it seems that I have read recently that your hormones plummeted right after being off hcg....is that right? If so, could the hair loss be more hormonally related? I have really low estrogen and hair loss is one of the symptoms.
