gosh, i don't- it was in one modified program someone posted. but i'm surprised, since it's a starch. there are a very few programs out there that allow starch options other than the melba's.
yes, it is a starch (that's how it pops) and has dozens of chemicals when microwaved, even from the ink on the bag! even that steam that comes out when the bag is open has been tested to be full of artificial chemicals, redenbacker's or the cheap brand. maybe it is the same modified program that allows Crystal Light drink, pardon my frankness, but to me, with all the splenda or nutrasweet and chemicals it has, I believe it's another stall city!
and I have also heard that popcorn as a puffed food is not so good for compulsive eaters, since it sets up a craving for more, in addition to it being a "finger food".
I am just leery. and I also agree, why have an oreo when there are so many other options? I can easily have cocoa crack or a mug cake without fear of needing a steak day, most likely. just that an oreo is easier to reach for out in public, you can't really just go by a cocoa crack bar at 7/11. I think the food industry has it all backwards. and did you all know that the way popcorn got so popular as an American fad, is because it was cheap during the depression years, people were going to movies as a deversion from the economic situation. so the theatres started making it to sell because people could afford it back then, now it is ridiculously expensive in the theatres. nobody knows the real story behind it.
