I started my first HCG round in March and went on for 30 plus days.

I tried to start 2-3 more rounds, but never was able to go on for too long. I was too hungry to continue.

I weigh about 150 lbs now and would love to get to 130. But I'm super scared to start another round.

Since the beginning of this month, I have been losing a ton of hair! So much so that I brush my hair over the toilet each morning. I'm guessing that I lose about 400 hair in the morning. And more in the shower, and still more at work. If I happen to run my hand through my hair more come off! It is scaring the hell out of me.

I should mention that I have always had a ton of hair. So much so that every time I go to the salon the hairdresser had to sweep about twice to get all the hair off the floor. But it's super scary to lose so much and start to see the scalp between hairs.

I have tried biotin, l-lysine, b 50, prenatal vitamins, calcium, and a nioxin scalp therapy serum which is supposed to promote growth. But all I seem to do is to lose more!

I went to a chiropractor and he suggested that I do a few tests to see if I'm become insulin intolerant. But um.. I didn't tell him I was on HCG. I did mention I dieted and lost weight just didn't go into specifics.

My next stop maybe an endrocronologist/ internal medicine person or my gyno when I go for my annual. But it's kinda scary telling them I was on the preggo hormone.

Please, please, please help me! Those who lost hair, how long did it take for it to stop? I'm single and losing hair scares me!

This is my personal experience, I am not trying to give advice. I haven't been on the hcg shots but a week but I can tell you I had a lot of hair loss when I was eating really low carb and exercising a lot last year. I was pretty much on all those vitamins too, including the biotin. I never lost any hair when I was pregnant and you have way more hcg in our system. When I lose my weight, I am going to go see about my hair. I watch it every day to make sure no extra amount is coming out. My friends say they can't see really a difference but I can and I can feel the sun on it when I am outside, it is very disheartening. I hope you find out what it is!

Don't worry about going to your OBGYN and telling them the truth. My OBGYN is how I found out about Hcg!!! He lost 68 pounds on this. I think they should be able to help you.

is there anyone out there who hasnt dealt with hair loss while being on this??? Or if you experienced it in your first round, did you experience it in any other rounds that followed?? Does anyone think cycling may help to not see so much hair loss??

I had some hair loss in P4, but not in P2 or P3. It stopped after a few weeks, and grew back. Happened just the same with my second round.
I also had hair loss years ago on other diets. I think it is a side effect of rapid weight loss. But it always grows back.

chl, i don't know about you attributing the hair loss to gall bladder surgery. i have all my body parts, never had any surgery and have always been super healthy.

i think it's the hcg and not the surgery. and probably affects some people more than others.

i think cycling probably makes it worse. after my first successful round, it tried 2-3 times to start another. i would take the shots for a few days and stop because i too hungry not losing weight at all. so i was probably cycling without really intending too.

i'm not sure how long more i should go before seeking medical help...
