So I started taking the HCG drops right at the end of the last period, thinking that I should be in the clear for at least the 26 days I planned on doing the protocol. I was losing at at the rate of about 1 lb per day when, at almost exacly halfway through my protocol my weight stalled. Four, days, 6 days, and then I got a surprise when my TOM came extra early. "That explains things" I thought, because normally I put on beaucoups water weight - 6-8 lbs, each time and it always comes the week before and stays for the entire period, no mater what diuretic I use or how much water I drink.

Now it's been nine days since the stall started, and day 3 of my TOM and the scale...stays...the same!! Errrg! Does anyone know if the weight loss will start showing again once the period is over? Or has my body screwed this whole thing up for me and I have effectively lost 9+ days of weight loss?

The stall likely would have happened without the period showing up. You're in the normal stall period. It should break soon. I have had 10 day stalls in nearly all of my 5 rounds. :-(

Okay, thanks for the comment. I was just freaking out because things were going so well and then I hit a brick wall. I didn't have that much weight to lose to begin with, I am already in my healthy weight range - I mainly just wanted to get rid of that stubborn fat deposit on my lower belly that was ruining the sleek silhoutte in all of my clothes that exercise and other diets have been unsuccesful in getting rid of so far. I can fit into a size 4/5 skirt, but I have that nasty little "mommy tummy bulge" at the bottom of my stomach, below my waistline - and I am 29 and have never had kids. But I'll keep going, I have only 7 more days on the drops, hopefully the TOM will end and I will see a change in weight before the end.

Hi, I had exactly the same thing happen to me, but my stall lasted 10 days. I was so frustrated, and I had horrible cravings. However, since it ended I seem to be losing again. My question is this: Is it okay to extend P2 to make up for those 'lost days?' I take the hhcg drops, and I still have enough left to do another 10 or 15 days. Today is diet day 31 and I'm feeling really good, and down 18.5#. I'm pretty happy with the progress so far. I feel like I could keep going. I'd really like to make the most of this round, since it's my last one for this year. I know this sounds crazy, but does anybody ever stay on the diet for longer than 40 days? I'd appreciate any comments or advice.
    Thanks! Lea

You can go 40 days with no problem. I've only done shots and you can do 40 injections which works out to 47 days if you skip a day a week so you could probably stay on a bit longer. Just don't go over 34 pounds lost.

Colleen, thanks so much for the advice. I truly respect your opinion. And congratulations on your sucess and meeting your goal. I think folks who've not ever had a weight problem don't really realize what a tremendous achievement this is. I've been following your advice through 2 rounds and I've benefited daily from your wisdom and inspiration. I can't thank you enough, Lea

Well I might extend mine for a few days to make up for lost time, which is kinda "painful" as I have literally been marking off the days until I can have peanuts and feta cheese again, LOL. I will wait until the period starts to let up (hopefully around thurs this week - in 2 days) and see what the scale is saying then. If it says 125 (right now it's STUCK at 129/130) I might consider stopping, but if my tummy still has those annoying fat deposits, I'm gonna stay on for a few more days. I don't think I'd be in danger of becoming unwell by dipping too far below the minimum weight for my height/stature, which I believe is around 122-124. Ha! Would be ironic to be "underweight" and still have the unsightly fat!

Glad to help, Lea! It's really been an amazing journey! :-)

Melissa, your body reshapes in P3 too. So if it doesn't look exactly like you'd like when you hit the weight goal, give it a few weeks. :-)

    Thanks, Grammy :)
I keep looking at myself and I am like there is no way a 5"6' 128 lb person should have a belly like this! I am still on my TOM, though - I'll see what happens with that and then I will have to decide whether to go straight on to P3 and see what happens, or tack on a couple of days to the protocol.

Weighed ths morning, and after taking ACV , for the second day in a row, my scale reads 2 lbs down.. could be that the water weight is dissipating, but I like to think the ACV has helped, too, so I will continue taking it. Okay now I am 26 lbs - STILL with the pot belly! I look like a toddler with skinny arms and legs andan extra bloated belly!
