I searched and found this recipe by Grammy. Not sure if it is the one everyone uses but here it is P3 friendly btw but not for P2 peeps.
The cocoa crack recipe is with coconut oil not butter. So that might be the issue there. Not sure what is wrong with your mug cake. You're using this recipe?
2 Tlbs. Almond flour 1 1/2 T xylitol 1 Tlbs. cocoa powder, heaping 1 egg 3 Tlbs. half and half or cream 1 Tlbs. butter Splash of Vanilla extract 1 large coffee mug
Mix all dry ingredients in mug, add egg and blend thoroughly. Add milk, oil and vanilla and mix. Place in 1000 watt microwave for 90 sec. Do not cover mug. Cake will rise. Let cool and place on plate. Add a little whipped cream to top
That was my thought too! lol! If it has chocolate, I know it will make me happy, though! Anyone have a recipe? I'm on P3D7 and trying to stabilize, but it's been an up & down roller coaster! Thought I'd give my body a shock with some cocoa crack...if I can find out what it is. =)
I used truvia at first, but there was a bit of an aftertaste. I just switched to xylitol and that was much better.
Anyway, melt it all in a microwave safe dish, 30 sec or so, stir a couple times Then pour onto wax paper on a paper plate and pop in freezer.
Within 30 minutes it is set. I usually chop it into 4 pieces--it fills the need of a candy bar! Due to the coconut oil, it melts really fast, so eat it quick. Yum. :)
marita - if you are "trying" to stabilize....I really don't reccomend adding in anything funky. It isn't that it is made off anything off protocol, but you should be stable before going nuts... Whole foods, in their natural state are pretty good tools to begin with. Once you feel sort of stable, go for it!
