I did have a huge weight gain from loading but as you can see I had a huge loss too. I did eat some carbs and sugar, but I was careful, I had a piece of pie and a few of those brownie bits the first day, and a venti caramel frappaccino, but lite on sugar, I guess it probably had lots of carbs. I had never had one, and I had a free coupon for any drink I wanted, so I said, why not? but I was also sure to fill up on fish oil pills, and healthy fats, almond butter, etc. I did have pancakes the second day. I didn't have ice cream, and I made a low carb no sugar cheesecake, but it took so long to cook and it wasn't really set on second load day, so most of it is in the freezer, I gave some away to in-laws and coworker. Oh well, next time I get into P3 it will be there for me. but I gained with that cheesecake in P3, so I don't know. I still have my unopened container of heavy cream there, but the expiration date says Oct. 3rd, so maybe it will be ok byt then
I'd recommended not doing so much carbs or sugars, but nobody's perfect. P3 foods and lots of them, is perfect.
... Yes, I try to do more of the "good load" stuff but I still eat what I love and miss and maybe don't have very often (potato chips! sigh!!). I have gained 4-8 lb on load (depending on which round) and always lose it fast. That's why I say "eat what you want". Plus, the emotional and psychological benefit of eating something really yummy but high in sugar and carbs AND you often find it's not really what satisfies you anymore which is more valuable than anything else!
I'm getting nervous...load days for R2 are the 18th & 19th! I was feeling good, like it's going to be easier, but today I had the realization that I LOVE P3 foods and I'm really going to miss them. But...I too can do anything for 30 days!
I can not even imagine what I'm going to look like after this round is over! I lost 20lbs in R1 and I'm shooting for another 20lbs for R2.
I'm excited and nervous all at the same time, lol.
I made it through the 4 day weekend of eating out in restaurants everyday on P2 and I am down 13#, first week of P2 so all that load weight came off, phew! and I was able to make it without going off protocol. I guess restaurants can make a P2 friendly meal once in a while, who knew? or else there was a divine intervention working.
yesterday, psychologically I found myself thinking I was so successful when I had company that I deserved a treat now, it was hard to shake, so I ended up eating an extra apple in the evening. well, the apple I had for lunch was one of those tiny organics, so I don't feel so bad about it. I did feel hungry in the evening. let's face it, when I am working every day, I expend a lot more physical and emotional energy, and I am wondering if I need to at least up my protein a little bit. or go back and adjust my dosage again. I thought about taking an extra shot, but had the apple instead.
