Amazing! I'm on R2P2VLD4 and was craving red meat. I had tried some last time (90/10), but I stalled the next day and have been afraid to try it since. Today, I found 96% lean and made a burger on the George Forman. I topped it with a tomato and regular mustard and then wrapped it in romain lettuce. Completely hit the spot! And I'm stuffed! Let's home the scale cooperates in the morning...
Ive done that many times!! If you add some liquid aminos to your raw meat and mix it in before you grill it the burger is sooooo tasty!! I also like to mix in some crushed red pepper and garlic powder. As long as your helping of meat was 4oz you should be ok. I will say, however, that for me I found that I did not lose as much the days I ate beef. Chicken and seafood always seems to work best.
If your going by protocol, its 100 grams or 3.5 oz of protein. also if i ate it as first meal and not second,it was better, and like almost everyone else, not with tomatoes.i dont know what the deal is with combining the two,but it would cause my husband and i both to stall.
OOh I must try it with liquid aminos! I ran out of them the other day. I used garlic salt and some other spices. I hope the one slice of tomato doesn't throw me off, but only time will tell. I weighed out EXACTLY 100 grams.
We did the chili recipe that you can find on here, delicious, that was whole tomatoe at least. What I did,was use chicken instead of beef for chili. But we did eat hamburger patties often.with the kosher pickles.
My body reacts well to red meat. I do lettuce burgers probably 2 times a week. I made a big batch so when my hubby isn't home for dinner, I can cook one up, smother it in mustard, chop up a homemade pickle wrap it in lettuce and go to town.
I had a problem with the higher fat meat, didn't loose or gain on it, but I do the Extra lean beef like every other day and I always loose so yeah the lean beef is my staple. Gonna try bison here soon when I run out of the meat I have.
