I am on my second day of loading and feel like a stuffed pig!!! I only need to lose 20 pounds, so I hope that I can go from phase 1 to phase 2 to phase 3 and know what I am doing. I am floundering around the internet trying to figure out what I can and cannot eat. The sheet I was given was pretty much no breakfast, only tea with stevia, lunch was 100 grms of lean meat, a choice of four vegetables and an apple for a snack and dinner was the same as lunch. It certainly seems limiting but I have two people in my office that look incredible and I asked how they did it and they did the drops and are still doing them. Once lost 40 pounds and the other one lost 60 pounds and they both say it changed their lives. I did a bunch of research online, on youtube, looking for negative reviews and really couldn't find much negative about it. One lady on youtube got dizzy and had to pull her car over the first week on HCG. She was doing the shots, so I am not sure what the difference is. I am getting the drops from the one girl in my office from where she got them, so I know that they will work. she said she has never been hungry on it as long as you follow it exactly. I guess I can eat anything for 26 days and then the phase 2 is what I am really worried about. I figure I can lose the weight with no problem. It is the after part I am really really worried about. I don't want to go through this just to gain it all back again. I think I will need a lot of help to know what to eat. Any suggestions?
Hey, bird, over here to the right (on the forum) see the green "hcg diet for beginners?" At the very bottom, is "Dr. Simeons "Pounds and Inches." You can download that and probably the first half, you will just skim. Get to the part where he talks about what you are allowed. That is "the protocol" as it was originally designed.
Maybe your dr/whoever gives you a list with 4 meats/4 veggies/4 fruits. We all pretty much start with "the protocol" and then move on from there. Some people are able to eat more different meat/fish for the protein - others stall with the lean beef if combined with tomatoes. Some do the eggs (1 egg/3 whites) for a change. Some here on the forum use Jay Robb shakes for one of their proteins. Everyone is different - most of us have things that cause stalls, yet the very same thing might make someone else lose. Lots of people on here have water packed tuna for one of their proteins (not available when Dr. S wrote the protocol in the 60s.)
Just reading the protocol will give you a good basis to start from - and when you do well, you will know what works for you and probably what doesn't. Most of us on here have had major stalls where the weight stays the same for a week or more in a long round. That is normal.
Keep coming back here, I am sure there will be others with lots more info.
And you don't have to wait until lunch to eat. You can space your allotted food out over the day. I always ate a fruit for breakfast, meat and veg for lunch, fruit for afternoon snack, and meat and veg for dinner.
If you click that link Nancygp mentioned, you'll see a link just for the 500 cal diet. But you should read the whole thing, to know how the diet works.
This forum is going to be discontinued on Sept. 20th, and everyone's moved to a new forum. You sound like you're on homeopathic hcg. You'll find a thread on "hhcg" on the new forum here: http://hcgdietinfo.com/hcgdietforums/f31/homeopathic-hcg-lounge-september-2010-come-over-old-forum-10817/
.. WELB, I recommend you find a thread to call home on this forum (really, the new forum which DG gave you the link to). A home thread is where you jump in with a group losing "together", albeit over the the internet. You actually get to know people, which I really like, but you will have a place to check in every day with statistics, questions, problems and victories. On my home thread, for example, we have people in multiple rounds (vets) and people just starting, people in P2, people in P3 and P4, some doing hhCG and some rx grade so everyone is exploring and learning all the phases together and reinforcing protocol etc...
You are more than welcome on my thread, but it's also not the only one out there. I see a lot of "group" threads. I personally think this is a hidden gem of success with hCG; a home thread.
Mine on the new forum is: http://hcgdietinfo.com/hcgdietforums/f5/p2-band-part-two-half-10851/
If that doesn't work it's called "P2 band part two and a half" and you can find it through search.
