I'm starting Round 2 HCG diet tomorrow and would like to know the best foods to load for my second go at this. I've heard from others when they loaded with all junk food they gained like 10-12 lbs in those two days they started. Can anyone shed some light on some good foods to have that are high in fats to help get the body primed for starting.

    Thanks!!

I have heard a lot of people say to only eat "good" fats and stay away from carbs. But this is what Dr. S says in the protocol:

"Patients whose general condition is low, owing to excessive previous dieting, must eat to capacity for about one week before starting treatment, regardless of how much weight they may gain in the process. One cannot keep a patient comfortably on 500 Calories unless his normal fat reserves are reasonably well stocked. It is for this reason also that every case, even those that are actually gaining must eat to capacity of the most fattening food they can get down until they have had the third injection. It is a fundamental mistake to put a patient on 500 Calories as soon as the injections are started, as it seems to take about three injections before abnormally deposited fat begins to circulate and thus become available."
"Patients in a satisfactory general condition and those who have not just previously restricted their diet start forced feeding on the day of the first injection. Some patents say that they can no longer overeat because their stomach has shrunk after years of restrictions. While we know that no stomach ever shrinks, we compromise by insisting that they eat frequently of highly concentrated foods such as milk chocolate, pastries with whipped cream sugar, fried meats (particularly pork), eggs and bacon, mayonnaise, bread with thick butter and jam, etc. The time and trouble spent on pressing this point upon incredulous or reluctant patients is always amply rewarded afterwards by the complete absence of those difficulties which patients who have disregarded these instructions are liable to experience."

I personally eat mostly foods high in fat, good and bad. I'll usually put extra, extra butter on my bread, for example, just to get the extra fat. I also eat those things that I know I'm gonna miss like spaghetti and meatballs, and B&J ice cream..lol. And if it's been awhile since I've eaten anything, I'll grab a spoonful of peanut butter. But I don't eat until I feel sick, not gonna do that. I do eat to stay at capacity for the whole day. Also, I only load for 2 days, not for a week like Dr. S says.
    Hope this helps.

I usually eat bacon and eggs, avocados and hot dogs, expecially the bratt style. They have 35% fat! Then I usually add some type of high fat sweet, like cheesecake. Then I usually go out and eat mexican, because that is what I crave while on P2.

Out of the 4 rounds I have done I ususally only gain about 2 lbs. Two rounds I actually lost! All that extra fat made me a little sick. Good luck on loading and ENJOY every mouth full! :)

Avocados, artichokes, nuts, nut butters, cream, cheese, bacon, etc. are all on my loading list. Then I also eat something I think I'll miss...

I eat bacon today along with cheese and other things but I know if I eat other things like mexican and stuff I will really gain a TON of weight. I've heard stories of weight gains of 10+ lbs in the 2 day load. I was hoping there was a good list of foods to eat as I don't want to gain like 10 lbs in my 2 days of loading.

For someone who has gained 10 lbs in 2 days, I think it's safe to say they were eating something(s) they were very, very sensitive to, and it was mostly water weight. That's gonna come right off once you start your VLCDs, and you're not eating the senitive foods. Your figure it takes 3,500 calories to equal one pound gain, so they would've had to eaten more than 35,000 calories in 2 days to gain that much in fat. That seems like it would pretty much be impossible. That's why I think its gotta be a sensitivity. Most gain between 2 and 4 lbs and it usually comes off within the first few days of VLCD's.
Try not to overthink it, eat what you want that has a high fat content. Eat till you're full, but not till it's painful or nauseating, and make sure to have some of what you may miss the most while on protocol.
