    I'm a newbie here and I just hafta add...YOU LADIES AND YOUR PREVIOUS POSTS HAVE SERIOUSLY HELPED ME TODAY!!! Thank you!!! I am on Day 3 of P3 and I'm up 4# (WHOAA!!)...so I'm doing a steak day today. The first two days I KILLED cheese (LOVE IT!) and I ate nuts and processed meat (hot dogs and pepperoni) I guess I'm really adding too much too fast. I really appreciate all of your advice Ladies! I feel better and PRAY I see a loss tomorrow...I've come SO FAR! :-)

    be extremely cautious with anything that is fat-free. most of those foods are loaded with sugar and sometimes starch.

    I also advise caution with mayo and other dressings. Try to find some that doesn't have soybean oil in it.

    I see a lot of people gaining on it. Don't know if it's because soy messes with the thyroid or because it's a common sensitivity. :-(

    I think much of the problem with the mayos and "dressings" is the "plus plus plus". They are not just basics anymore but are made with all kinds of things we can't pronounce or starches or sugars etc...

    I make my own ranch. I'll post the recipe on a new thread right now (easier search ability). It's with yogurt and sour cream and fresh herbs because I couldn't find buttermilk (found it now; I live in Thailand).

    I'm frustrated.After eating my first two days I gained 5 lbs combined( i thought it was the cheese), so I did a steak day. After the steak day I lost 3.8 of those pounds. I took some advice and only added one new item to my diet yesterday which was cottage cheese (which I had during p2). Today I've gained 2lbs. I can't keep working 12hour days not eating because it's a steak day. By the end of the day I'm exhausted and cranky. Any advice?

    if you gained from cheese, you're going to gain from cottage cheese. don't do a steak day- just eat a lot of lean protein- no eggs, cheese, nuts- and some low-carb veggies (have a salad) and your weight should come back down.
