You want to avoid any oils that have a caloric value to them, glycerin and mineral oil are okay, I know carmex is okay, I also used MAC lipconditioner and didn' stall,
for face- Used Neutrogena- they have an 800# and were really good about helping me find an oil free product. for body- I used Baby oil while still wet getting out of shower for hands I bought corn huskers but it really didn't help... I just suffred I also bought a st ives lotion for hair- Pureology in the pink bottle.
foundation- Laura Mercier oil free tined moisturiser- or MAC studio select oil free foundation
For blushes, eyeshadow etc... I used powdered minerals.
I found an Alba aloe and green tea oil-free moisturizer. it has vegetable glycerin which i think is ok? some green tea extracts, acids, and TOCOPHERYL ACETATE (VITAMIN E) anyone know if this is ok? Day 1 for me tomorrow :)
Has anyone tried Magick Botanicals Oil Free moisturizer? I have heard to use the hair products, and am. My skin is starting to want some lotion... What do you guys think? Oil-free OK?
great. haven't used that yet. The one I bought was $16.00 and was in a small jar, probably more for face. I found Magick cream on amazon for $10.00 and it came in a larger bottle so I could use all over body. I want to "be strong" and resist but day 3 VLCD and I am starting to look a bit crackly, even after going to sauna and drinking lots of fluid so I might try it ;) I will let you know how it is when it gets here.
I think as long as its labeled oil free you are okay. Petrolatum is not absorbed by the skin, therefore would be safe I think. I used petroleum jelly for cracked lips and cuticles during my phase 2 with no trouble. I mixed in a bit of powdered stevia and a flavor extract (I used strawberry, oil free) and made a pretty acceptable lip balm. P2 safe! I also got twinlab NaPca spray, no oil not even glyceein
Sorry blackberry did not behave...anyhow this spray was a lifesaver. You can get it from iherb.com and it is under 5 bucks for 8 oz bottle. Worked well for me.
I am a hair stylist and put shampoo and conditioner on people's hair every day. Kinda of have no choice. They'd look at me like I was a freak if I put gloves on. I have stalled and have been a little nervous all along that this might become a problem. hmmmmm.....
