I know it isn't anywhere in the books of anything, but I bet if it had been around when the books came out the doctors would have given it a thought. It says in the diet that we can drink as much herbal tea as we want, so why not Kombucha? It is so good for our body and if you just drink half a bottle it is only 30 calories. I have been drinking about 1 a day and have lost 9 lbs, after having been on the shots for 7 days, and diet for 5. Has anyone else tried Kombucha? It really helps curb the hunger for me.
It is a type of tea that is bottled and sold at Whole Food's type places in the refrigerated section of the store. It aids in digestion and energy. You should try it.
Charissemc, I tried out the Komhucha tea based on your recommendation. Definitely an "acquired" taste. A very strong apple cider vinegar taste to it. I called the company that makes the tea yesterday. I wanted to know if there is any sugar in the tea since it says there are 2 grams of sugar per serving in the bottle. They said that they put "evaporated cane juice" in the tea. I know that we are not allow sugar, but I know that cane juice is a natural form of sugar. Does anyone know if we are allow the cane juice?
It is recommed from information that I have gathered that It "brew" for around 14 - 16 days in order for the Kombucha to use all the sugar. The result is a much stronger drink with a heavy vinegar taste to it. I "harvest mine around the 11th day.
I have thought about trying it with the diet, but I am following the original Dr. Siemons protocol. I can wait 40 days to resume the use of the Kombucha.
oh YAY! i was having such a hard time giving up my Kombucha! Slim impact and megan... try the guava flavor. its better for beginners. (we probably can't have guava juice, but it wont really set you back because of the digestive enzymes)
I love Kombucha! Had it every single day before starting hcg. Drank it the first week of R1 and had great losses. But then I worried about the extra calories. A 16 oz bottle has 2 servings (30 cals/serv).
