I've been reading through this site most of the day and really am learning so much. I wish I would have found it BEFORE I tried to do the HCG by myself, thinking that the Dr. S book would be sufficient. I know I would have been able to have some great questions answered.
Now, I have had 3 days without shots and have totally blown my eating for these 3 days. I haven't conquered the emotional aspect of why I eat (right now my life is hell and food is my comfort) So in addition to the horrible stress I'm dealing (or not dealing) with, I'm spiraling into depression because I've blown my eating when I should have been on VLCD for these past 3 days.
    My question:
How long do I need to wait? I was on HCG for 30 days, losing 18 pounds, but dosed incorrectly and was recieving a bigger dose than I thought, which led to immunity way too soon I think. Anyway, I've been reading here about people that take 3 weeks off after a 23 day protocol, 4 weeks off after a 40 day protocol and those that say they take 6 weeks off after a 43 day protocol.
I don't want to wait. I know I sound like a spoiled child! I felt good on the hcg (honestly no migraines, great energy, great sleep) I want to climb back on the wagon. But I'm sure I wouldn't have the success that I need and want. SO, next question....what would your opinions be on the absolute SOONEST I could go back on???? I'm feeling desparate right now.
Help??? Your opinions, knowledge and help would mean a lot.
    Thanks

er- it depends on whether or not you really hit immunity. i know i asked these questions in another thread, but i'm not sure which one it is now. if you hit immunity, you not only would have stopped losing weight (without cheating) but would have been suddenly MUCH, MUCH more hungry than before. did that happen? if it did, i'd advise you to wait 6 weeks. you don't want to start and then hit immunity again.

if it didn't, you might be able to get away with just waiting 3 weeks.

another idea would be to do the sub-lingual drops rather than the injections, since there is not as much of a risk of immunity (it's not absorbed as well, so you do it twice a day).

does the queen need to decree that you won't be depressed about these past 3 days? :) Most of us have cheated at some point, regretted it, and have used food for comfort. Forgive yourself- this is a learning process!

Don't be depressed, ermom! We all mess up. This isn't fatal. You can do a steak day and get back on track. Then stabilize and start again. I agree with Margie about maybe trying sublingual since it doesn't seem to have the immunity issues.

I think 3 weeks is good. It gives you a break, let's you have some other foods, and then you go on HCG again. I had issues stabilizing in P3 and am just so incredibly glad to be back on program and losing again! I took a longer P3 than I would have liked because I had a trip and knew I wanted to be on P3 for that. But the next P3 I plan to try the 3 week break and go back at it. I just want the scale going down so I can get closer to goal.

    Just my two cents,
    Annette

Thanks for your advice. I thought maybe I hit immunity because I quit losing, I did NOT have hunger. In fact, the opposite was true. I was forgetting to eat or not hungry to eat AT ALL. I would look at the clock and realize that it was 5:00 pm and think "hmm, I guess I better eat something", so I know I wasn't hitting the 500 calorie mark. I wasn't cheating, I just wasn't eating.
Do most people here do the drops rather than the shots? Just curious.

hi ernurse, Grand Pubah here. If you did not hit immunity and it certainly sounds like you didn't but just hit a stall, I would think after being on diet only 30 days then 3-4 weeks would be sufficient to restart. I am a big sublingual proponent but if you had as good of success as your indicating on the injections why try to fix what isn't broken?
You need to go immediately on maintenance phase and monitor your food choices and weight closely until you can restart hcg. Do a steak day now and see what you can lose. Then go strict P3 diet.
It's ok. all is not lost. get back on the wagon it is just a temporary set back.
As far as your last question we have alot of people on all sorts of different forms of administration. Some doing shots, some sublingual, and some even homeopathic drops. You will find support for whatever form you choose.

According to Dr. S's manuscript you should wait 6 weeks after the first hcg round no matter how many days long it was. But I see some people says only 3 weeks or 3-4 weeks. Has anyone tried maintenance for only 3-4 weeks after about 30 days on hcg? I am on my second week of maintenance and I really want to get back on hcg.
