    Hi, I have been reading and following many discussions on the forums of hcg topic and I am new to this also. I was hoping for some advice on keytosis. Someone I know told me they tried this diet along time ago and got so tired and lethargic they went into a state of keytosis and had to quit. I really like what I'm finding out about this diet but also just want to know what to do if that happens? Thanks for any advice.

    I did well through out my p3...didn't do any steak days, just a few high protein days....each time I did that i lost 2 pounds or more. Interestingly, I started having trouble with apples...something that worked well for me on p2, but on p3 if my weight went up, I would not eat an apple the next day, and my weight would go back down. Not sure what that means. Almonds and pecans put me over the moon. One small tiny not even a handful and I gained 2 pounds over night...and they were raw and unsalted. grrrr. I can eat plenty of fatty things, steak, avacado, full fat salad dressing, olive oil, and not gain an oz...which is very new for me. I feel full and satisfied with what I eat each day, i am not hungry at all. And I don't crave the junk food either!!! i can walk thru the grocery store after work when I am hungry (bad, I know) and not be tempted by the chip aisle!!!!! That is so alien to my nature, usually 2 or 3 bags jump into my cart when I 'm not looking!!! lol...Anyway...Keep up the great work everyone!!!

    Also, if you find a particular food that you have difficulty adding in p4, please post about it so we can all learn. Thanks!!!! Barb


    ps...mikkydee, if you come to the pubah nectar machine while looking for the pool table, you have gone past it. :)

    I too started P4 yesterday. I actually spent the weekend moving and thanks to some great friends, was constantly provided with lots of yummy food. Working as hard as we did to move, I was able to eat pasta, donuts (I know), Cheese burgers and fries from Mc Dees, homemade bean and cheese burritos, Chili beans and corn bread and chocolate cake and didn't gain anything. Then Monday, first day of P4 I ate some cantaloupe and taco bell and whooop, up 2.4 lbs. Yikes. So today am doing a steak and apple day with the exception of a protein bar around 2:00 cuz I was so hungry. But then will do a large steak and tomato for dinner I think. Hope that gets me back down. Just thought it was amazing I could eat so much and not gain, but probably because of working it off too. All moved in and back to reality with the diet. I'm sorry Barb that you cant eat nuts. Ate almonds all through P3 and didn't have any problem with them. That was my favorite snack, that and string cheese helped get me through P3.

    Beer, did I mention beer? I was able to drink a couple of those and didn't gain either.

    Bobalu, ketosis by definition is where you burn fat instead of glucose for energy for your cellular function. The biproduct of ketosis are ketone bodies in your urine which you can test for. it is not a harmful state of things. Any low carb diet will put you there. Barb

    I tried a preciuto (sp?) roll I found at Traider Joes. It preciuto and motzerrella rolled together in a big roll. I figured it would be a good snack while I waited for dinner to cook. I took about a 1/4 inch slice and was able to hold off till dinner for the hour it took to get things done. Later that night I had another slice. This morning I am up 1.5 :-( Not sure if my ToM has anything to do with it but I am getting hungry early (like before my meal times.)

    Ok, found the bathroom and I hang out anyway by the Pubah Nectar machine to make change but never did see the pool table. Unless you are referring to the small table under the phone that that has a slide out drawer for phone book that says "PULL HERE". I was referring more to the type table with the pool balls you shoot in the pockets rather than a small table with a "PULL" sign on it. I meant POOL TABLE not PULL TABLE.
    Who turned the lights down in here anyway?
    And I think we need a separate "smoking section" in case Mrs. Pubah decides to come coz she is smoking hot. That way we could keep all the smoking hot skinny people together in their own section over by the Pubah Nectar Machine to be an inspiration to us.
    And I would like to see the walls painted a different color, instead of pink so that it is more testosterone friendly.
    And maybe one of those litle 50 cent cologne machines in the men's restroom.
    Oh and maybe a high def. big screen TV over by the Nectar machine with all the UFC fights playing 24/7.

    Either that or they went somewhere there was a real pool table.

    Awww...MD, you sound so lonely here...are you in permanant p4 now?? Are you stabalizing ok?? I'm just starting p4, and I feel so confused on what to eat, I have had a small amount of oatmeal, and sweet corn, I'm just not sure where to go from here, or how much and what's too soon. I only want to do p4 for a little less than 2 weeks, I want to start another round after labor day, I'm getting restless at this weight, I'm ready to get move on, and get more off, but I don't want to move too fast and blow it either. Can anyone tell me if their success rate was just as good on round 2???
