One of our girls is trying the agave nectar in P3. She's done pretty well so far. xylitol is a healthy sweetener and hasn't caused me an ounce of trouble. I love it in my mug cake! Colleen
Mel -Coconut is a bit dry too. I think for open face sandwich, the cookie sheet method will work best. Just don't spread too thick, it does puff like a bisquit.
"Xylitol is a sugar alcohol that is naturally present in small amounts in various fruits and vegetables. It can even be extracted from birch bark. Considerable amounts of xylitol are produced by the body every day as a result of normal metabolic processes. It is slowly absorbed into the digestive tract and does not cause rapid rises in blood glucose. It has clinically proven dental benefits. It is a sugar alcohol that cannot be utilized by bacteria in your mouth."-from the side of my Xylitol box-lol
I really hope my weight drops back down so I can try the miracle noodles at some point. I got them 3 days ago, which is when my weight decided to increase a full pound and put me right at 2 pound over!!
melfin: I have not yet tried making almond bread, but my coconut bread wasn't too bad, but a little dry also. I made blueberry coconut muffins that were not dry at all though (added extra coconut oil). I thought I read somewhere that coconut is better for bread and almond is better for cookies.
newsinglemom: I tried agave 2 weeks into P3 for the first time and haven't been having any problems. I would guess it wouldn't bother you at all during P4.
