I went to weight loss clinic that offered weekly shots in my town - I had already researched the protocol. When I questioned why only weekly shots the lady got really snotty with me and said (beligerently) "I don't what you're reading but THIS is how WE do it". I pretty much dismissed them at that point. Oh and this is a clinic that's on Prinster's list!

Hi. I'm not new to injections, hormones, or dieting for that matter; but I am new to HCG and trying to figure out WHAT exactly is my dose? How do I read the syringes. I am doing a to-the-letter version of Dr. S's protocol, and this is Day 3, so my eating regimen started today too. But I think I may be messing up on the doses. For days 1 and 2, I did IM injections into my thigh with a 3 ML syringe and a 1" needle. I did doses of 1.25 on that 3ml syringe, but now I'm reading about doses and am thinking those were high. I want to do the injections IM and not SubQ....but I also have a ton of insulin syringes (that I used to inject HGH with).

So, without getting too complicated...... On the insulin syringe, what do I put the HCG to if I am doing 125 units? Is it between the 10 and the 20? I have a 11,000 unit vial of the HCG and a 1CC insulin syringe. I am still going to do the injections into my thigh, not Sub-Q.

    Thanks

    Tom

it depends on how much water you mixed with your hcg- what did you use?

My HCG is 11,000 units. I used the 3 ML and put 11,000 of THOSE units of water into it.

I don't understand what you're saying about the 11,000 units (that's a very odd amount, by the way, are you sure it isn't 10,000?).

Think of it as spoons of sugar in water. You have 11 spoons of sugar and you put it in a cup of water, that's going to be pretty strong and sweet. You take the 11 spoons of sugar and put it in a gallon of water, that's going to be much weaker, and much less sweet. If you want to get exactly one spoon of sugar out, you're going to take a different amount out of the cup of water than you would out of the gallon of water. That's how it works.

I mixed my 10,000 IU vial in 20 ml of water. That gives me a solution that has 500 UIs per ml. To get my injection dose, I fill the syringe to .35. That gives me 175 IUs of hcg.

bigzoo- you're still unclear. what is "11,000 units of THOSE units of water in it."?????

take your vial of 11000 units of hcg. add 11ML of water, which will get you a concentration of 1000 units per ML. then take 0.125ML in each shot. BUT that's a low volume, and hard to measure accurately. better to add 22 ML of water to the hcg vial, which will give you a concentration of 500ML per cc. then you'd put .25ML in each syringe, for a dose of 125. make sense?
