I know this is old, but I'm going to "bump" it, because it's something I've been wondering about. Any other opinions out there on veggie serving size? I didn't really measure with the leafy greens, but I'm wanting tomato tomorrow and don't want to overdose on them, which I could easily do with tomatoes.

i don't ever measure out a certain amount of veggies- just a reasonable serving size. i figure if there was a specific restriction, Dr. S. would have put that in the protocol.

Thanks! I'm kinda paranoid at messing this all up and ending up huger than I am now. Ah well, if I mess up too bad, I'll just try again the next day.

I would limit it to one small to medium tomato. It's technically a fruit, and has a lot more natural sugar than the other veggies on the list.

As far as tomatoes it says 1 large or 2 small.

that makes more sense- that would be much less than 2 cups. for some of the veggies, i don't even think it's necessary to put a limit- like lettuce and celery.

that's linda prinster's book- just remember that for something like the veggie amount, she's just guessing. there is nothing specified in the protocol.
