Erecca I'm sorry to hear about your bad day, hopefuly by now things are more normal around your house, and about your friends being pushy, be firm with them and let them know YOU are the one with a birthday so therefore YOU should have some say so as for when YOU want to celebrate, like someone said before, if they resent you for not celebrating when THEY want you to then they are not very good friends in the first place, tell them your diet does not allow days off and this is not the kind of diet you can just interrupt without screwing it all up big time, they might understand, and just give them another date when it's better for you, if they are good friends they will oblige and if they don't then you'll know what kind of friends you have. Hope this helps, keep going Erecca, focus on your goal, you're doing great and I'm still very proud of you!!

Ok, I am freaking out! After 2 days on P3, I have gained back 2.5 lbs! After day 1, it was 1 lb, after day 2 it was 1.5 more! Here's what I have eaten those two days: 1st day-2 bacon, 2 eggs, handful of pork rinds, 1/2 apple, 2 gr beef (lean-prob 1/2 lb) patties, made like meatloaf (but I used melba toast and only t hings in it that would have worked in P2, except for the egg); Ok, yesterday: 2 bacon, 2 eggs, 1 orange, 6 oz lean steak, and large helping green beans, choc cake in a mug (which was wonderful, by the way!). So, O wise ones, what is my problem? Today is my birthday (56) and I was planning on eating a big steak, salad and a few bites of an onion blossom. Any problem there? I was going to eat a salad with a friend for lunch, but I can skip that if i need to and just not eat all day. Somebody please tell me what to do :"( My husband was up 1 lb this morning.

    Good Morning all,

I got on the scale and Im down to 205.5 from 210 after loading. Im usually about 207. Is that normal. I really struggled yesturday my first vlcd. I wasnt really hungry I was mentally struggling. I thought of all the things I have to give up as a social eater. Sunday football, dinner with husband, happy hours :(. I was trying to convince myself that Im ok the weight I am. This is to hard etc.. But I stuck to diet and slept hoping I this would pass.

How do you guys get through ?

I eat shrimp every day. Are you allergic?

Maxim, it looks like you're not eating enough protein. Also I'd ditch those pork rinds. I suspect they are the packaged processed kind you see in the grocery store and full of chemicals.

I used to be allergic to seafood too. NAET cleared it out for me but shellfish can be a problem. Too bad though! I'd hate to give up my shrimp. :-)

Sands, the force of old habits is hard I know! We run a small mail-order business and we're in the habbit of handing out small pieces of candy with each order. You can imagine how many go in our mouths in passing. The habit of that has been hard to deal with when we work on the first week of our VLCD. I keep finding myself just about reaching into the candy sack to grab one before I know what I'm doing. Plus we used to have a few favorite restaurants we will miss.

The way we are coping is to find other things to eat that are diet friendly and still yummy. If you haven't gotten your hands on the HCG Dieters Gourmet Cookbook, you should. There are some GREAT recipes in there that you could just portion upsize for your family and maybe add some fats to and they'd never know they were eating diet foods. The Chili comes to mind as something Sunday footballers would probably appreciate. I swear I've never had better chili! We also found the grissini breadsticks were actually delicious as well. We plan on using those as a substitute for other sweeter between meal snacks after diet end. We'll still go to the odd restaurant after we stabilize, and just use the steak days to clean up afterward if necessary.

Now to my great news, I'v lost another 2.5 pounds! Woot! So that's 7.5 pounds after VLCD day 5. Wonder what else I can find in my closet to try on!

One other thing-- has anyone else ever had a morning where they felt a bit nauseous on this? Hubby felt that way yesterday morning, and I felt quite nauseous in the middle of the night last night about 3:30 am, and had to get up for a bit to settle my stomach. (And actually I did throw up a little liquid, but nothing else.) Afterwards I was fine and went back to bed but I just wondered if anyone else had anything similar happen.

Erecca how is your day going so far today?? I hope better! Deep breathes, deep breathes - there ya go :o) It is YOUR bday & it is YOUR body. NO ONE has to live in that body but you, so YOU get to make the choices! Everyone else will get over it when they see how much healthier you are in a little while longer :o) I know the feeling it is hard & you feel powerless, but your not & look how great you have done so far that should help you feel stronger because you know what you are doing is working!! As for the kids - tie them up (just kidding lol) just think pretty soon those boys will have to be catching up with YOU :0) it is hard to do this with a family let alone little ones!! You can't just focus on yourself because you are taking care of everyone else! But you are doing something wonderful for yourself that in the long run everyone will benefit from. Just keep that in mind & remember I am always here if you want to talk!!

Sands = this is all a mental game! I konw that feeling you are feeling - fight through it! It is so worth it in the end. It does get better I promise. You will still have off days where it is really bad, I'm not going to lie but it really does get better. Everytime I feel that way I look at my weight records :p it help!

So today is R1P2VLVD19 & I am down 18.8 lbs!!!! My goal on a 23 day round was 20 so it looks like I will make it!! I am so excited :o) I lost 1 overnight & I am beginning to think the melba toast may slow me down! I didn't eat any yesterday & I lost a pound but I ate it the day before & only lost like .8 I think it was. I am going to go through my food journal & look to compare everything. I won't be on much the next couple of days I have a really busy schedule going on but I will try to jump on as much as I can & see how everyone is doing. And of course you all know I'm on FB 24/7 lol gotta love a blackberry :o) Have a awesome day everyone!

Hey guys as a lot of you know I sell AVON on the side for extra income because of the hubbys heart condition. Well they are expanding their line of mineral makeup & it is awesome!!! Their prices can't be beat either. I LOVE LOVE LOVE mineral makeup! I switched over to it a couple of years ago & I wouldn't go back for anything. I have been buying the more exspensive brands but now I am switching to AVONS. I have read excellent things about it so I am excited that it is going to be so much cheaper for me & the product is supposed to be one of the best. They have their own lab everything is made, tested ect right at their own site. So anyway I was thinking about starting a thread for everyone about it. Do you think I would be allowed to do that? I know a lot of people on this forum always question the makeup & this way they would have a thread they could click on & get all the info & a link on buying it? I don't want to overstep my boundaries on this? What do all of you think?
