Oh, and I forgot to mention that I went and got flavored stevia drops to add to coffee and/or water at my local helath food store.

I LOVE them! With the chocolate flavoring, just as Prinster suggests in her book, I can get away with one teaspoon of non fat milk in each cup of coffee, thereby spreading my tablespoon allowance over the day in 3 cups of coffee.

I am also going to follow the suggestion of flavoring some water with grape flavored stevia and freezing it into popsicles since it is going to be hot (close to 100 degrees) here this weekend. Doesn't that sound like a treat? I am truly hoping to not ever go back on sugar or even honey in my coffee and tea after I go through this entire protocol. Life-changing, indeed!

Thanks Turtleteri!! I'm so happy someone answered! I am so looking forward to doing this diet, I used to be in great shape especially during the time I served in the USArmy but after I had my wonderful baby girl that my hubby and I tried so hard to conceive my body just went CRAZY and it holds on to fat for dear life!! so I need help lots of it!! and this diet seems like it works, I have another question (for everyone) do you all buy the organic shampoos and conditioners? Is it really necessary? oh and I read something about not using fatty skin care products yet I read coconut oil is allowed, isn't coconut oil fatty? or maybe it's just allowed during the maintenance phase. Thank you for reading.

caribeanqueen I have been using that same brand with HCG at the top, for 23 days. I have lost 16lbs(over 4 inches in my waist alone) I stalled for 4 days, my fault, I cheated and had TOM, so I am sure I would have lost more, but 16lbs is still amazing. I have not been hungry, again amazing! RE: coconut oil is it allowed in P3 not during vlcd. I don't have the money to buy the organic shampoos, I am careful not to leave it on my scalp very long and I don't get the conditioner on my scalp at all. I have been using Ivory soap.
Make sure and don't forget to load, It's very important. my sis and i started the same time. I loaded with all I could without getting sick and she did not. She was starving the first week and I wasn't hungry at all.
Hope it goes well for you, just make up your mind and you will do great.

Yes I agree 16 lbs in 23 days is pretty amazing!! all I have lost in the last few months is a measly 2 or 3 lbs eating right and exercising like a maniac, I seriously never had so much trouble losing weight but I guess after having a bay things can change. Thank you so much for all the encouragement and information Jlshort and Turtleteri!!

I agree with everyone's advice that loading days are hugely important to your success. I ate too much fat the first day and made myself sick, so I did 3 more days (I lost weight after throwing up) before going on the VLCD.

I stopped using my skin care regimen while on this protocol--I found some oil free moisturizer at Whole Foods, which I am very happy with. It is aloe and green tea oil-free moisturizer by alba. I use it on my face once a day and am not overly dry--and it smells yummy, too! My hands were super dried out during the first week, and I use a raw food product that I already had in the cupboard on my cuticles and hands once a day (once on my legs, too). It is called Artisana organic coconut butter, which is made of whole coconut flesh, not just the oil. According to my book on the protocol by Linda Prinster, however, some people do not lose well when using the coconut oil products during the VLCD, so you may want to try a super small container to see how it affects your weight loss. Of course, if you can do without moisturizers, you should.

I wish you excellent luck and health; I am thrilled with my progress, even tho I still have no energy. My uncle told me he experienced the same phenomena, which is most likely due to the fact that our bodies are burning through toxic stores of fat in our bodies--we are going to feel that poison while we burn it, much like we smell the types of material we burn in our fireplaces. I hit a milestone this morning: I have lost 10 pounds!! Woo Hoo!

for those that have no energy, I have been taking the sublingual "B-Total" I noticed on the third day of taking them and my 1st day of vlcd I felt like the energizer bunny. I have energy and only feel drained when I forget my B-Total. I guess as with any thing else, you just have to see if it works for you and that it doesn't keep you from loosing weight.

So do I need to "load" every time I start a new round? or just the first round and that's it? By the way, thanks for the info on oil free products.

Caribeanqueen, yes, you need to load every time you start a round. I'm on my second round, day 5 (with load day 7) and down 6lbs. The first time I did this I only loaded for one day and blew off the second day thinking it wasn't necessary...was I wrong! I was so hungry for a week!

Now I relied on the two load days to be the relay hand off for fat melting!

Instead of doing drops just 3x a day, I cut dosage in half and take them 6x a day. Find I'm less hungry that way. Also with the liquid B sublingual, yes, jlshort6!! zooming round...

Eme do you take the HCG drops at the same time with the B sublingual all 6 times?

Thanks for the advice on the sublingual B vitamins. I am going to the Health food store today to find the B-total. I am looking forward to zooming around, too, especially since I have two weeks left on VLCD.

And I second Eme's advice on the loading for each round. The protocol is quite clear on this point.

    Have an awesome week everyone!
