You guys are all doing so great! Jen, glad to see you moved & look at YOU in the 130's!!!

I'm at VLCD 12 and down a total 8.2 pounds. I have to say, It's NICE to have a waistline again! I REALLY want 10-12 more pounds out of this. Thinking about extending my 23 day round a week. I don't want to weigh any more than 135, and I really thought I could get it all done in THIS ROUND.... I'm losing slowly now though? Blah. I'm staying on the right path. Today has been hard & I actually DREAMED about Mexican food lmao! I wanted the kids pop-tarts and salivated over their skittles last night. Whatup w/that? I have to keep remember why I am doing this & realize that it's not going to be this bad for long!!!! I mean it's NOT TERRIBLE, I just WANT. I'm NOT HUNGRY... let me repeat .... NOT AT ALL HUNGRY. It's my flesh! Devil come out!

Well, here goes ...I'm up .2 on day 25 vlcd & my husband has lost 12.2 on his day 7 vlcd. Arrrgh! I can't move past 244. I read somewhere that if you had a set point before you may hover there for awhile?? But, that was 8 years ago !?? Help! How do I get out of this? Should I do apple day?

you only do an apple day if you have not lost weight for at least 4 days. yes, it is harder to get past old set points. just keep at it- you'll eventually go down.

No loss today, but am not surprised as I had half a cappacino yesterday, 4 oz. Oh well. I am definitely not the poster child for the hcg diet. I can't seem to go a few days without cheating. I know that I'm the one that's suffering for it. At least I didn't gain. Trying to get in all my water today. So far so good and it's 3pm. So, still at 138.2 lbs today. Tomorrow is my measuring day. I'm wondering if it will show anything. I'll also be updating my picture on my blog. :)

I reached an old weight set point and got stuck at 159 for a few days. My Dr. told me to do an apple day which only made the scale move 1 lb the next morning...Uuuugggghhhh. But, I was down another lb today. I guess since it's moving I can't complain. My Dr. also said that women average a 28 lb loss on a 6 week plan. I so want to blow that number out of the water but I'm on VLCD 24 and I'm down 21 lbs. I won't extend this program because my 6 maintence weeks will end 2 days before Thanksgiving. I will prob pick back up on Jan if I need to. So my question is...Is 28 lbs about the norm??

the norm for women is between .5 and .75 per day, over the length of the protocol. for the 40-day program, that works out to 20 to 30#. you lose much more in the early part of the round than the latter. if you're 21/24, that's excellent. some people lose more than .75/day, but that's usually people who have a lot to lose. your losses are really quite high, considering your current weight- so you're doing very well.

Mornin' all! I am in my 4th day of p3 and loving it. I'm not having any trouble (yet) maintaining my LIW weight. I have gotten over the need to lose extra pounds during this time and am happy to tone up instead. Thanks, Cindi, for the reminder about the set point. Truly, that is my goal. I am anxious for the day when a lot of my focus is not so firmly on my weight.

Congrats to all of you - this process does work!
