No, I didn't think it was your 1st day of VLCD. I just meant that I have heard of wt losses that big, but usually only on the first day..Never later. I realize you are later..that's why I was wondering how you did it! : )

It really doesn't make sense. That is the most I've lost in 1 day EVER....even in the beginning. And, I haven't even went to the bathroom in about 3 days (sorry...tmi).

Wow! Imagine the loss if you went potty, too! hehe

I'm here!!! LOL! Just took awhile :) I'm WAYYYY in P4. Five or six weeks maybe? Still maintaining though :) I was .2 above LIW this morning. I'll start my next round Jan. 17th! YAAAAY for round 2! I cannot wait!!! But... I'll miss my wine! We've started brewing our own wine and it's WONDERFUL! I guess I'll be giving that up again in a few weeks ;)

Congrats to you girls who are doing so well in R2! I'll be right behind you :)

I don't know what has kicked in on my losses but I'm down 2.4 today. Maybe I was retaining a lot of water with TOM???

Hey Holly...That's FABULOUS!! Can you send some of whatever you're doing, my way?? Yesterday I was down .2 and today it's up .2! I did up my dose to 200 for the second day in a row and my hunger is sooooo much better! There's still a question if the dose is too high, but I'm thinking since I have more in my system and my hunger is under control, energy is back up (even with a cold!), that maybe lowering it wasn't the answer after all. I am doing IM, 125 being the dose for that...I guess I'm one of the exceptions to the rule....at least so far!

Amy...I don't drink, so I can't sympathize there, but Just think....it's only for a limited amount of time, eh? That's great that you're stabilized and maintaining! I loved that, can't wait to be back there at that stage...I'm already tired of P2 and I'm only on my 11th day! I wish my losses were going better, but I guess it's true what they say...losses really slow down the closer you get to your goal. I'm just over 10 lbs away, so that's probably it. Hopefully, this new dose will kick things in gear a little better!

    Yeah Linkan.....more recipes!!

Amy - guess you know from my other posts that I have a drink once in awhile even on P2.... you just have to be VERY careful bcuz when you aren't eating much...it doesn't take much ;-)

Kym- I do sl so I'm clueless on the dosing for IM but hang in there!

HOLIDAY PRESENT FOR ALL MY BUDDIES>>>>>

P2 DESSERT!!!!!!! A little time consuming but WORTH IT!

    Strawberry Granita (like Italian ice)

16oz ripe strawberries hulled and sliced
3/4 cup powdered splenda (the bag that is sugar equal)
    pinch of salt
    1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

    1. place an 8 inch square baking pan in the freezer puree strawberries with splenda and salt in a food processor add 1 and 1/2 cups water and lemon juice and pulse to combine. Pour the mixture through a fine mesh sieve (strainer)set over a large glass measure or bowl --pressing hard on solids to extract as much as liquid as possible. Pour mixture into cold baking pan.

    2. Cover tightly with aluminum foil and freeze for 1 hour or until ice crystals form around the edges. Stir mixture well with a fork to incorporate ice and break up any chunks. Continue to freeze scraping ice at edges into center and breaking up pieces with a fork every 30 minutes. for 2 1/2 to 3 hours until granita is granular but slightly slushy.

    3. use a fork to scrape across granita surface transferring ice shards to glasses or bowls and serve immediately.
