I took my progesterone and estrogen while on P2. The real question is whether to be actively trying to get pregnant while doing the diet. I don't think that's a great idea. You wouldn't know you were pregnant in the very early days and the baby might need more food than you're giving your body. Barb, what do you think?

Collen should I still continue my VLCD or load again and start a new cycle. I will get my hcg dosage tomorrow evening. Sunday morning was my last dosage of sub lingual. My TOM will be on oct 22 or 23 so my ovulation would start around Nov 1st( active time for trying to get preg ) . If I continue my VLCD consideration a 40 day round my last day of hcg would be on Oct 26th. I am so confused. I am desperate to lose weight and to get pregnant :)

I'd just continue my VLCD, slim. That's only 3 days off and many women do that during TOM anyway. So that timing would work great! Drink lots of water today and tomorrow to get through it. Try hot teas too. that always helps.

The hcg that we take should not show up in ordinary blood tests, but if you are having more sophisticated homonal studies done, which your doctor is going to use to determine homone dosages to help you get pregnant....I would not have the hcg in my system for that testing. You want your doctor to get a really accurate picture of where your hormones are.

Also, I would not actively try to get pregnant while on the hcg diet. The early days of a pregnancy are too important to the developing embryo to mess up with our VLCD. I have heard of some folks doing it with strict physician supervision, and modifications to the diet to allow enough calories for the embryo. But my opinion is these are two major projects...losing weight....and making a baby. Each one deserves your full attention. I wouldn't try to do both at the same time....

I was wondering how everyone faced temptation?...I sit in a cubicle where there is a counter top attached to one side , like at the DMV, and all the guys I work with bring in cookies and snacks and just leave them there for everyone to take (that is the only PURPOSE the counter serves). My cubicle is right next to the door so everyone passes it on the way into the office and I am the only one with a counter top (why? I don't know, I am the only female in the office as well haha). I just need some words of wisdom, mantras if you will, to help keep my hands away from the bad stuff. I do tell myself "Nothing taste as good as being thin feels" but I need more...please help, I can't stand bring you junk food to work days anymore.

Do you have a pic of yourself at your skinny weight, Audrey? If you post that on your computer, maybe it would help. And imagine all those treats crawling with maggots. LOL

I will have to bring a picture in and imagine maggots (yuck)... I am practically a girl scout here trying to get the guys to take the cookies as they pass by my desk.

Put up a screen of some kind, even books, so you don't have to see them. ;-)

Audrey --communicate with them (the guys). Tell them you are on a restricted diet that is real important to you and just knowing all those goodies is on the other side of your cubicle is too tempting. I don't know about you but, my biggest temptation is desserts ...I would die if that were me! Is there a break/lunch room or a small table you can set up elsewhere? Come up with a solution and ask your co-workers for their help. They're guys, they won't care where the goodies are! Good luck!
