kelly- when i started in march, many people were being told by their docs they could get by with just 3 weeks off between rounds, so i tried that. wouldn't recommend it, though. R1 i did 22 days of P2, 3 weeks of P3. then 38 days of P2, 3 weeks of P3. then 23 days of P2, 3 weeks of P3 and 3 weeks of P4 (although i didn't add much sugar or starch back in).
if you only have 2 short rounds to do, i think most people can get away with 3 weeks in between. if you're doing long rounds, i'd recommend at least 5 wks off after your first round.
since Dr. S. never did short rounds with people who had to do more than 1 round, we don't know what his feelings would have been about how long you need to take off.
thanks Margie.I think Ill stick to the original plan in Dr S protocol of 40 days injection, 3days hcg elimination on VLCD and 6 weeks ,(3 weeks P3 and three weeks P4) as I have 70 to 75 lbs to loose. Oops... that is 40 to 45 now since I have already lost 30. Maybe Ill do 5 weeks break after round 2, well see when I get there.
Not sure she's been on today. She's been really weak this week. It's been hard on her body, Deb. And she had trouble stabilizing after the last round. Colleen
man, i just can't seem to get it together. i felt a little better yesterday, then very weak again today.
i was starving for all of R4, and then gained quickly on P3. finally stabilized about 5# over my liw, but that made my net loss for that round very low. although the strange thing was that R3 was my best loss in terms of pounds per day, and that was with not much time off. took 6 weeks off before R4, but i had a lot of stress this summer and i think my body just was not up for it. now i'm on day 18 of R5, and have had no hunger- but extreme weakness. of course my health is pretty crappy to begin with (chronic fatigue syndrome) so i'm not the norm in terms of how my body responds.
I do not understand this ... I have lost several inches in hip area, thighs, mid torso but my waist is still thick. Any ideas? My slacks are baggy everywhere but still tight in the waist??? Thanks, all ...
mgsondance, I am sorry you are weak I will pray for strength for you. But, it seems to me your body is telling you to take a BIG rest from Protocol. I think maybe 6 months.
take a break, Margie! You've come so far and you probably need to rest. Anclair--I have heard the saying "last hired, first fired" as far as fat goes. The fat that you accumulated recently will probably go first. If you've carried wt around your waist longer, it will probably go last..
