I stopped all my vitamins and suppliments except the B12 drops, but that's me I am not sure if you can take those. But if you do a search on the top with one of these listed I am sure a discussion will pop up on that topic. Sorry coulndt help, just know what was good for me. :-}
litlsprout, supplements are ok on p2 as long as they are starch free and sugar free, you need to read the label. Colon cleanses are not recommended on p2 since they speed up the transit of the food thru your gut, and you aren't eating much anyway. You can take senecot tabs or smooth move tea if you get constipated, but don't do a full out colon cleanse on p2.
anclair, I think you are seriously low in both potassium and magnesium. You are at risk for low levels of both while on this diet. You need to supplement both of those as soon as you can. Are you doing this on your own or through a clinic? If thru a clinic, call them and let them know how you are feeling. do you have any heart or kidney problems that could cause this? do you take a statin drug like lipitor to lower your cholesterol? If the answer to those is no, more than likely you just need over the counter supplements for potassium and magnesium. I hope this helps! Let us know how you are doing!!! Barb
jfromSTL, you asked earlier about almond butter. It is in the "organic" section of stores. Or my suggestion is go to Trader Joe's. Really good prices, too. I believe I saw unsweetened coconut at Dierbergs. Deb
kristi- if you're that close to your goal, and very hungry, then you might want to increase your food to just maintain the weight you're at. you can do that until day 23, then finish your round as usual. but don't go by a number on the scale- look at whether or not you have any extra fat on your body. if you do, you can lose more. if you don't, you should definitely increase your calorie intake.
