Before I did my first round, when I was pricing HCG, I found that it was cheaper to purchase a vial of 10 000 iu HCG than to purchase several smaller vials. Since I have been reading the forum, I have discovered that it is better to mix regularly and I am now panicking about my HCG losing potency during a 40 day round. My question now is whether it would be possible to fill individual syringes and freeze the HCG? Would I run the risk of damaging the protein? Any thoughts?

yes- many docs say that freezing does damage the protein, although there are clinics out there freezing their shots (but a lot of clinics are doing a lot of crazy things....).

it also says right on the box, "do not freeze". i wouldn't do it. i'd order more hcg so you can re-mix. many, many people notice a decrease in potency at about the 2-wk point.

Can you mix powdered HCG that may have froze in the back of the fridge?

I freeze my syringes each round and they have never lost potency. You should be just fine to do it. I've been doing it since January.

I thought maybe yours was all right because it's diluted, Jenni. Hers is in the original vial that says do not freeze. What do you think?
